| Alternate Storage
Okay, so I have a really big question that I need some advice on. Before my husband left for Iraq we bought a house. It has three bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, laundry walkthrough room, and a living room, that is it. It's fairly small, with not a lot of extra space. We also have a 2 car detached garage. Anyways, well here's my question, I don't know what to do with all my stockpile stuff anymore. I don't even live there yet, but yet my house is full of stuff! SO really what I'm asking is, what kinds of things can I store in the garage? This would be what I would prefer to do with somethings, but I'm just not sure if that would work! THANK YOU SO MUCH <3

In the garage: paper goods - paper plates, toilet paper, paper towels. Toothbrushes and other non-perishable items - gift bags, razors (I wouldn't put Intuitions out there if it gets too hot or cold), plastic bags (trash bags, Ziploc bags, etc). You could put sodas and other canned items out there if they won't freeze. |

Whatever you do... do NOT put laundry detergent where it can freeze or get too hot.. It will get clumpy and kind of nasty... it is still good, but makes it a little harder to use... places to kind of "hide" the stockpile.. Get those flatter plastic tubs to put underneath the bed... label them... razors, toothbrushes, etc... lots of that stuff can fit in the flatter style tubs. You have a spare bedroom (I assume one bedroom is master bedroom, one is a nursery)... fill that closest with your goodies.. If room permits add shelving above the washer and dryer... you can store lots of stuff on .. just put one of each on the lower shelf so that you can reach it .. and the extras on all the higher shelves... In the garage... I always keep my paper good, plastic goods, body wash (in totes), shampoo (in totes)... if your lil one is still in diapers (based on pic I would say yes) those can go out there..I would store most stuff in totes to avoid any grim or wetness that may come in with the cars when you park them. |
