I went to three different food lions today and NONE of my FLIP's scanned. Ive never had a problem before this week. Is there something different with their system or with the coupons themselves? I was still able to get credit for them entering them manually, but it always caused a backup in the line and, of course, Im trying not to draw too much attention to myself. Is anyone else having a problem? I hit all three Food Lion's on Little Creek Rd in Norfolk, Va if anyone else is in the area. Thanks

None of mine ever scan either. I wrote to corporate and asked them to send me some coupons b/c mine never scan. They wrote me back and said it must be my printer. I wrote them back and said no..I've tried printing them out in multiple locations. I also told them which stores I frequently visit. No response back. The respones I got from them were rude and sarcastic. Ie) Hello There Mrs. Farlow. Considering I wrote them a professional e-mail, I think this is a disrespectful salutation.

My coupons hardly ever scan. It is funny b/c most of the cashiers see me coming and just automatically type the coupons in. They do the same thing to my friends who shop there and are using the coupons. I just make sure I go to the cashiers I know.

Mine never scan. I too try to go to the cashiers I know will type in numbers without mumbling under their breath. I have one older cashier who always states the she hates these da** coupons. I just smile and pay.

I always tell them just to type it in. I hate the backup I cause! I think there was a post about this the other day that if you print them at a larger magnification they do scan.

are you printing them off the generator? the ones that you actually print from food lion are larger than the generator coupons and they always scan..so maybe make them bigger..

| FLIPS scanning 50/50
Sometimes my FLIPs scan & sometimes they don't. It is about 50/50 for me. Even with the ones that they email me. Some casheirs that I get don't even atempt to scan them, they just enter them manually. It does sometimes cause a back-up. I noticed recently in one of my FL's that there was sign posted at each register for the casheirs. It said that if there were more than 2 people in line that they must call another casheir. It stated "this location has had a problem with this". So, I wouldn't feel bad for causing a back-up. It is their job to be adequately staffed. |

The problem has gotten worse with the coupons scanning. It is a pain.

Mine never scan, they always have to enter them manually. Even tried printing them larger - still didn't work.

I occasionally have a problem with one of them.... but typically they scan with no priblems. I print from the generator as is.....

Oh well! It is there job to make US happy! hehe It's their coupons. Frustrating I know, but what can ya do?

I have never had a problem with my FLIPs scanning until today. I had used my free cookie Q, laundry detergent, and baby wipes last Friday with no problems. I went this morning and none of them would scan. All the Q's were printed at the same time, from the same printer. I think they might have done something with the computer to force the cashiers to actually look at the Q without just scanning it?

After comparing, ive noticed that the coupons from the generator have a much darker bar code than the ones from the actual shoppers companion thing. I printed some of the cookie coupons from the food lion website and they scan fine, but not from the generator. I printed a few larger ones today so I'll see what happens. I guess I cant complain too much, as none of them have actually been denied.
