I believe each store is able to amend the corporate policy and have their own coupon policy. (Manager can refuse any coupon clause)

The cashiers at my Walmart know that they accept IP qs as long as they scan. When 1 cashier questioned all my IPs I went to CS to complain (bec he was too slow) and they even apologized and said the cashier was out of line accusing me of copying them. He learned after that bc I've been to his line again and no problem with IPs anymore.

I never had an issue with this until the other day. The cashier tried to tell me that they dont take IP's and called the manager over who told her that they DO take them.....as long as they scan. The manager then turned to me and said each manager has a different interpretation of whether or not they take IP's?? So confusing!

I called 1-800-wal-mart and customer service said that they should not have said that to me and someone would be calling me back regarding this issue within the next 2 business days!

My WalMart told me the same thing about 2 months ago. So the following day I called the store manager and she said they do accapt them. I asked her if I would have any more problems using them and she said no. I hadn't tried again up until yesterday. I had 2 of the free scoth brite toilet cleaner and they would only let me use one per transaction.

I have problems with one Walmart every time I set foot in the door. They told me they don't accept IPs without a dot matrix security code. I think it is a general misunderstanding of IPs. I can go to another Walmart in my area and I have no trouble. One time I had trouble there and the lady told me they don't take "computer generated coupons". I've got the same accusations fake coupons, photo copied coupons, etc. It's annoying and embarrassing. I'm sorry you had to go through this, I just did the other night too.

I have heard of a few Wal-Mart's that won't take them anymore. Its just a blanket policy they put in place when a few would reimburse them. I understand their side a little, because its so hard to tell if the coupon is real or copies, or fraudelent. Its only a few bad seeds that ruin couponing for the rest of us! So annoying. Is this your only Wal-Mart or is there another one nearby that you can go to? Just keep telling them that you are going to Target!

I would definitely follow up the store manager. Ask him/her what their store's policy is on IPs. If they say they do accept IPs you can name drop with the cashier if need be. Sorry that happened to you. That is so frustrating. I hate it when I get to the check-out and some cashier has decided to change the rules. Linz |

same thing happened to me and I emailed corporate about it and attached a copy of their coupon policy....needless to say I got a call from a manager at my local store apologizing up and down and she said they would be having a special meeting that week with the cashiers since corporate said they didn't know their own coupon policy! if nothing else email corporate and let them know what store it was...

Lincolnton, NC is now refusing to take IP's and multiple coupons. I left them with a cart full of items the other day when they told me at the register. I went to SuperW in Denver and in Charlotte over the weekend and neither gave me problems over IP's or multiples.
