I was planning on doing the pepsi deal, colgate,lays crackers crisps. I was planning on going today after class and I have to drive about 35 minutes to get there. I was just wondering if they really are limiting coupons. My target is normally fantastic, but if they are going to limit me it is not worth the hassle to drive that far with a baby. I usually use 25+ coupons per transaction, with no problems at all. If anyone knows how this is working please let me know. If it is a regional thing I am in WI! Thanks so much!

i did the 10 12 packs with 5 target coupons yesterday and had no problem. Since its so far away for you, call first and inquire. This way if you do go and they give you hassle, you can tell them you spoke to so-and-so an hour ago and they said...

I am from wisconsin too, and only had a problem once. what area in wisconsin are you from. the only tgt I had a problem at is the one in milwaukee on hwy 100. But all the others no problem at all!!

I talked to my daughter about this issue and she said that no way would Target stop taking coupons or put a Limit on coupons. They are a huge draw for them and for the few that do cause fraud the are doing their best to weed those out. They are working up new software that will stop overages, so the consumer will only receive the amount the pay for the product. So as far as limits or to stop taking coupons she laughed when I even suggested that I had even heard that Target would even start such a thing.

I used 32 coupons the other day (cello coupons, deodorant coupons, pepsi ones, etc) and no questions asked. I was actually congratulated on how much I saved from the cashier!

I'm with CharlieGirl....call first just to reassure yourself that you won't waste a trip! I think most stores don't limit their own coupon use, but why risk the gas cost when you can know upfront before riding down the road.

About every 6-8 wks Target policy rumors appear I always ignore them.
I have never had any changes in rules happen to me that I've read on any site in their Target Forum I say don't sweat it.
I always carry a copy of their coupon policy with me & they follow it when I produce it call corp & have it mailed to you

There are some Target stores that had an update on their system to only accept 1 TQ for every item (not on the whole transaction). The cashier cannot override. There's nothing you can do. I know 1 store in my area that had the update. Not worth going there anymore. There's another one 7 miles away fr this store that still accepts multiple TQs. Other people have been experiencing this too. I checked another board and of course people are not happy abt this.

I dont think they are limiting them but i think they are scrutinizing them more. I went to target today and after the woman scanned two of the target $1.00 off ocello she told me she couldnt do anymore, I said yes you can, i bought four and they'll all scan. I think she was po'd cuz a bunch of my coupons said item not found. She had to take the colgate out of the bag, tired to tell me i bought the wrong one and then she had to check the lays chips. I thought for sure she'd go searching for the clean and clear, that was in trial sized and clearanced to .50 and i used the $2.00 coupon but by this point i think she was tired of me...

I did 6 pepsi and 4 cheetos, but was only able to use one of the cheetos coupons, pepsi was fine for all three. The register even said "offer limited to one per customer". I questioned her because the coupon says one coupon per offer, so she showed me the screen. Oh well still a good deal.

There was a great baby food coupon from Target awhile back that made Gerber baby food like 2 cents a jar, I printed up 50 coupons and filled up my shopping cart, cashier and manager denied me and said there was a 6 coupon limit. My DH is a vendor for Target and visits 30 stores/mo. Over the next few days, he asked a few stores about their limit and they all said the same thing, Corporate does not set limits, but individual stores can. I agree that you should call and inquire since it's a drive for you.

We have been having problems with using multiple coupons at our super target for the past 2 weeks. This store was always really nice about taking our coupons but the cashier said its a corporate level thing. Alot of people will stop shopping there if they keep doing this, I know we will and we shop there alot.

I agree on the suggestion to call first since your Target is a long way from you. I know there are stores in TX where my step MIL lives and she said that Target is now only taking 1 MQ per "like" item, and cashier cannot overide so its not a matter of choosing the cashier if the register only allows 1 coupon for several "like" items. Although she said Target coupons are still allowed to be combined but its not UNLIMITED like it use to. Definitely, I think that some regions/areas have changed their policies. Some stores do not honor the Target IP policy that was made before the new policy took effect.

So to be on the safe side and not waste gas, better clarify if there are changes in policies and ask the name of the CS rep you talk to just in case there will be a problem.

I live in Minnesota and I have to drive 45 minutes to get to the nearest target. I can either go to Alexandria, or to Baxter. Does anyone know if either of these stores has been hit with the update? I am planning a run tomorrow, I hope all goes well.

I am in Minnesota also but I have no idea about the Targets in your area. I would give them a call and ask if they changed their coupon policy so you dont waste your time or your gas. Good luck!

Inetrresting. I had an issue with Ocello sponges the other day, I had 6.00 worth of q, and it only took off 3.00. The guy ringing me up didn't know which way was up when it came to coupons, so I am sure he just acted like they had scanned. I ended up just returning the items so I can just print them out again anyway.

My point is, I think this store must have been hit by the update. My closer, and older, store has yet to have a problem with me using multiples. Hmmm

I also experienced that a few times at SWM, some coupons don't beep so I thought all were taken BUT when I check my receipt right there, some coupons didn't scan, yet cashier took them. I have to go back to that register to inform the cashier knowing that they can make a quick count and find my coupons in their coupon bag. otherwise, I will be SOL because I have no way of proving I gave my coupons if I call when I have already left and the cashier has already left/has been replaced. I always check my CRT at any store before leaving to make sure all my coupons scanned that I gave the cashier.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their responses. I went to Target last night and had no problems whatsoever. I used over 40 coupons- got Ocello sponges, colgate, pepsi products, fiber one bars, nature valley granola bars and the lays cracker crisps. I used over 40 coupons, saved over $60, and walked out spending about $27. Thanks everyone for the deals I love this place!

I have many Target stores to chose from and one of them had no problem with me buying 10 - 12 packs and using 5 coupons and the other one had a red flag come up on the computer. Made no sense. So I went back to the one that allowed on Monday and they are still allowing it today.

I am wondering if the store head honchos have anything to do with the computers and limiting the coupons.
