Today I went to a different CVS than usual to look for some LF $1.99 pads for the March deal and buy my last Pepsi for this week's deal. I also needed a bday card for my nephew and saw a sign by the hallmark cards "$5 ECB wyb music hallmark card and any itunes GC". I just had to work a deal to roll ECBs to gc and make this work. The music cards are expensive, but the $5ECB would cover it as opposed to me buying a $1.99 card or whatever. Had over $10 in man. q's to make this work well with less than $5 OOP.

Had a problem with a few q's...they wouldn't take the second johnson's buddy coup. for my 2 bars because of the $0.02 overage! The register absolutely would not take it, I asked if she could adjust the coupon value down and she said no, they're cracking down on q's??? This was a first. I took back the coupon and let it pass.

Then for some reason my nivea $2/1 printable wouldn't scan. I had her take the shaving cream off the order, no way was I paying full price.

To top it all off, the $5 ECB didn't print for the music card/itunes GC. The cashier was SOOOO nice, but the manager didn't come and didn't come. My DS got antsy. Finally someone came up but said "he's on the phone and I can't get into the computer". Over 10 minutes had gone by...I finally said "I need to go" and they punted and handed me $5 in cash and had me sign the back of a slip and write my phone # on it. Cash is king, I won't complain about that.

I wonder if the deal hasn't started in the system yet. Maybe this is the next Hallmark promotion after the wrapping paper one ends???

Sorry so long, I had to vent. But this is a fun deal if you like the challenge of rolling ECB to GC and itunes is one of my favorite GC presents!
