I went to Wal-Mart today with several items in mind to price match. I bring my sale papers and put all those items first. When the girl started doing the price matching, she didn't know how to do something and she calls over another person. The woman than tells me that the don't price match buy one get ones or price per pound. I have done it before at this store and had no problem. So I wonder does any one know the true policy? She was nice about it and I told her that I didn't want some items then. She said thats alright I'll get a cart for those. She did say sorry. I was a little bummed because they would have been some good deals.

I don't know about the super store sorta items, like the price per pound things. But I don't see why they shouldn't have done the bogo items. That's odd...I'd have to question that. Sorry I couldn't help more!

I price match a lot and they haven't ever don'e BOGO but I have no problem with price per pound on veggies and stuff. HTH

As far as the BOGO price matching goes, at my store, they will do it ONLY if the price is listed in the ad.

Mine will not do the BOGO's either. I have not had a problem with the price per pound, though.

I'm in AR and we have linient WMs. I've price matched for a long time and I know they don't ad match BOGO sale, sale involving a store coupon like WAG 7day coupons or %off sale. They have always ad match per pound price on meat, fruits and vegetables over here. I have always ad matched Aldi's price on fruits and veggies which are often the lowest around and fortunately, Aldi ads are in the Sunday inserts here so they don't even ask for the ad.

No BOGO's here either! sorry!!! But I have done price per pound though ( I have done chicken and steak at my local super walmart!) HTH!

The actual policy says that it will not match "gimics" (not sure where that term comes from) such as BOGOs but there shouldn't be ANY issues with doing things per lb....in fact, we have programming in place at the registers to recognize per lb vs. per each on price matching. (I work in corporate WM)

Thanks for the help. I guess I know from now on no BOGO. At least like I said earlier she was nice about it. I guess I will have to check into the price per pound next time I go to get a for sure answer, seeing has I have done it before.
