| Contour Meter -- $30, use $30 Q and get $30 MIR
I read on another site that CVS is putting their Contour meters on sale for $30.00 starting the 16th. Sundays paper is going to have a 30.00 coupon for this, so it will be free, but from what I understand they all have mail in rebates on them too. Just a heads up! Jennifer |

This is a YMMV. If your total OOP is less then $30 then you probably won't get the rebate. Some people have had luck with this, some people have been denied. Just don't count on it! |

Good to know, I'm new at this! What if you do this: $30.00 meter $2.99 mouthrinse for kids - $30.00 Q - $1.00 mouthwash Q = $2.00 OOP, and $2.99 ECB and then $30 MIR Would that work?? Jennifer |

BTW, what is YMMV?? I get that it means something like it's up to the manager at the store, but I'm not sure exactly what it stands for! Thanks for putting up with me. I am just getting started w/this CVS stuff! Jennifer |

i've done a MIR for contour before and never received it, probably because my OOP was so low at CVS. If you black out your total and coupons, it might work. It worked for me that way with Sambucol and Glade rebates.

I tried the rebate off the last Contour Breeze deal where it was free at the register after CVS coupon & made $10 ECB. I got a letter back from Bayer indicating that they denied my rebate because I already got the meter for free. Oh well, it was worth $0.41 to try........I understand some people got lucky. |

YMMV = your milage might vary, so basically it won't work for everyone, but might work for some. You're posted plan probably won't work. Your total after all coupons, deals and ECB's needs to be $30 or more. In other words you have to actually pay $30 of your money. This is b/c most rebates state that they can only reimburse you the amount you actually paid. So if your total looked like this: $30.00 meter $2.99 mouthrinse for kids - $30.00 Q - $1.00 mouthwash Q = $2.00 OOP, and $2.99 ECB Your total you actually paid would be $2. Not $30. They will know you got a deal somewhere and you are actually making money off the rebate. It really all depends on which employee does your rebate. Some don't look very closely at your totals and you might get the rebate. Most employees will notice the $2 and decide that your not eligiable to get the $30. Some people got away with a low OOP in January, but most companies have realized what is going on and now most people with low OOP's get denied. |

Kville, I got lucky at $59.99 x 2 and didn't black out anything~~got a letter on # 3! Win a few, lose a few, some you get rained out on and some you never make it to the park!!

I understand. So if you black out your other stuff, they wont get suspicious??? Jennifer |

That's another YMMV. I have heard of people getting rebates by blacking out info and the employee assuming that they just didn't want all of their personal info on the receipt, then there are employees that deny you for blacking out any info. From what I've read people have better luck just sending in the regular receipt w/o blacking it out. |

Hmmm well it's worth a shot anyway I guess, it's free. I don't need it, but I'm gonna donate it. Jennifer |

That's the way I think about it. Even w/o a MIR you are getting something to donate for free. It could really help someone out that needs it!

Good luck. I've got a total of 5 Dear John letters from Bayer and 1 $14.99 rebate.

| Why combine these two both have MIRs on them? I'd get something else tht has ECBs on it and use the $5 off $15 to get more ECBs.

Thanks for the reminder on this. I completely forgot about the mouthrinse MIR. If you want to do both MIR's then you will have to buy them in two different transactions so that you have two orginal receipts to turn in. |

Ad states "offer cannot be combined with other coupons," so wonder if you use the coupon, you can't get the rebate.
