| Walmart return policy
DH purchased a 35mm film camera around February 19-22. He, of course, lost the receipt. The camera is defective, according to the camera guy at Walmart. He told DH that he could NOT return it without a receipt. I looked on the Walmartfacts website and it said NOTHING about having to have a receipt, in fact, it said that they accept returns without one. Anyone have an experience with this? I plan to go this afternoon, armed with my printed Walmartfacts and see what happens. |

My Walmart will take ANYTHING back, no questions asked. I once watched a guy return a tv that had obviously been used, and they just took it back. I returned a bunch of gifts after Christmas that the kids had gotten duplicates of. No problems!

I returned a bouncy we got as a gift that I didn't like and had no receipt, they told me you can exchange twice a year without a receipt, they track it with your drivers license. And I did this maybe last month.

Well,we went and tried to return the camera. The CS girls said no, since we didnt have a receipt. I gave her the date of purchase and asked her to please look it up. They looked, another girl looked and then a supervisor looked. Nothing. I suggested they look up their inventory tracking and see what was there. I mean if I can go to walmart.com and look up and see if a store has it, can't they figure something out? The Supervisor was starting to get a little snotty, and so was DH, until I gace him a little kick and smile. She printed out instructions on how to contact Canonand send it to then, which would have cost us because DH lost the receipt . He admits it was his fault, but certainly they could just give us a gift card...We showed them the Walmartfacts info when she kept saying it's out policy, I asked "who's policy" and when she said Walmarts, I showed her what I had and pointed out it was NOT a digital camera. She didnt say another word. I asked for a manager who somehow managed to get the info about the purchase in about 2 seconds flat. All said and done, we got the gift card with the full amount. Lessons to be learned: #1 DH must staple receipts to his forehead until such time as I can retrieve them and file properly. #2 Stick to your guns. If you can provide enough information, they can find what you are looking for somewhere in the system. # You get many more bees with honey than you do vinegar. (Note to DH) Pleases and thank yous go a very long way. People remember them almost as much as they remember those customers who dont. |

My WM will take absolutely anything back EXCEPT anything from the electronics department. I believe there is a 90 day grace period and you MUST have your receipt. I have, a couple of times, called the WM bookkeeper (each store has one) and had them look up the transaction. They have printed out the transaction and faxed me the receipt. It is especially easy if you used a credit card. Just ask a manager. |

Has anyone tried to return the Pantene or Herbal essence trial size bottles that they got from walgreens last week. I just had a thought that if i returned them all, I would have another 60 bucks to spend on the new baby.

If it's on the credit card and they still won't then dispute it with your credit card. But 1st I would call corporate and complain if they won't give you a return and you used a credit or debt card. Sherry |

They can find transactions (any) in the Electronic Journal. It's helpful to know the date (and the upc, of course) because it can be time consuming. Most CSM (customer service rep--they are a type of manager over the cashiers and service desk) or other management. I believe the "WM bookkeeper" is referring to the the Office Associate. I work in the corporate office and handle support for store associates and have had to go into electronic journals to help them find the transaction for issues such as the one above.
