Today I was in Walgreens looking for more Olay/Zest (none found) and as I was checking out I noticed a fish bowl of Jane lip balm 2/$5. I thought that would be a good .50 to spend for my 6yr old who loves make up.

Come to find out the BOGO worked today
I bought 6 Jane Lip Balms at $2.50 each=$15.00
My 6-$2Jane coupons=$12 off
Walgreens BOGO sale=$7.50 off
Leaving me$4.50 overage

Use it to buy other walgreens stuff or FAR and make even more.

I tried it and it wouldn't work. The cosmetician manually took off the BOGO because they had the signs up and I had to pay $3.99 for the lip gloss even though I got 2. Only 3 of my Jane Q's scanned. Grrr. There were $1.99 eye sharpener pencils ($2.01 overage wyb 2) and $2.37 foundations marked down, not reg price ($1.63 overage wyb 2). Of course it may be a YMMV thing after the email that went out last time about the Jane.

Ok I just went and what a mess.

First I bought the lipgloss things and they didn't ring up BOGO. They had to void them and manually enter it since the signs where already up. Than I was told I could only use 1 RR to buy the rest of my things, but just 2 days ago I got to use 3. So it was a big mess. Than later I looked at my receipt and 1 set rang up $3.99 and $1.01 but when he voided them he left the $3.99 on there!!!!

I don't do much at WG's but I hate them so far! LOL

Yup that's what the girl told me too at WAGs cause I even went back in and questioned it. I absolutely hate how they do that. The sign says $3.99 or 2/$5, I bought 2. It says nothing about $3.99 for the first one and $1.01 for the second one. If that's how those work during the sale that will be cruddy. That's 3 x now that WAGs has got more $$$ out of me then they should have. Their lucky they had enough soap for all my Olay q's . I still have some Zest left and one Olay I found later this week in the recycling bin. So after the Olay $4 RR and a few Pantene/HE and razor deals I got 2 $50 Visas from WAGs this week.

Luckily only 2 of the lipglosses rang up at $3.99 and $1.01 the rest worked, but walgreens doesn't specify on there receipts which one is which! I wish I new so I could stay away from that one.

I did get 2 zest soap last night but only because someone returned them without the RR according to the mananger. (who told me if I used coupons the Cat machine would shut down and I wouldn't get my RR. DUH I got it! LOL

Glad you got the gc's. I got 2 $10 Macaroni grill ones. But last night the said 1 RR per trip!!!! They where making signs to put at all the registers! I guess I'm happy with the 2 I got. But now I have $88 to spend $4 at a time. I'm buying the Sunday paper today.

I've been reading a lot of problems with Jane BOGO using 2 MQs in different stores. Some have outright refused 2 coupons so try it out first with 2 before buying 200 <j/K> in one transaction and see how the cashier and register takes it.

Ok I did this again this morning. It once again didn't go as planned. I ended up paying $1.50 more than I thought (which I know isn't much).

It turns out that you have to pay $3.99 for the first 1 than $1.01 to make it $5 than you get them for $2.50 each! What a crock. I didn't see that anywhere on the tag. But I might have missed it. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm so sorry. keep trying and I guess return if it doesn't work. I asked my cashier ahead of time and she said it was okay to use them.

Today I was able to get 2 face powders, 2 blushes and 2 lipsticks and was able to use my c/o and received the BOGO. I had a lot of stuff and was only doing this deal with all my normal grocery items, but it did help to have the overage.

I'm just sticking to whatever clearance I can find and using one Q. Tonight I got two more lipstick ribbons that cost me $.59 cents. (They did come up BOGO) Last time I got several foundations and I'll be happy if I can find a couple more clearance stuff at other stores and that's about as ambitious as I'm gonna get.

I am not going to do the Jane BOGO this time around. I have plenty to last me until I am old and gray. Besides they don't have any great deals, so no need to rush there for me! Whew...

I bought 10 lipglosses and 2 eyeshadow kits and used 12 coupons without any problem. When I went to get the lipglosses the lady at the cosmetics counter even offered me coupons that they had printed out. They had a whole stack next to the register.

what percent are you printing the coupons out at? I can't get my coupons to scan and since they wont scan I have three stores now that wouldn't take them at all. Any suggestions. I printed the 6 to a page from before at 100%

For those of you having issues with your Jane Q's scanning. Mine did not want to scan either. I printed them in landscape and they work fine now. The bar code lines are more spread apart that way. Hope that eases a little frustration!

Just a heads up that the last time they had this deal I always went to the cosmetic counter. I seems that with the hand held scanner they work soooo much better!

I was turned down for this deal at 2 Wags. The first one would only let me use one Q no matter how many make-ups I was buying and the second one told me they couldn't take a Q on a free product. They saw I had all those Jane Q's yet waited to tell me this till the end of the transaction. Had to tell them to void it and go on my way. Sorry, not paying for this makeup. I tried the liquid makeup and the lip balm and didn't like either. I was going to use it in gift baskets. Oh well...

At a smaller WG's I was told only 1 per set by the manager, but the cosmetic lady lets me use 1 each item.

Than at another store the cosmetic lady read me the riot act about about trying to use 2 coupons on 2 products.

Than at another store they don't seem to care either way.

And I seem to have more luck if I only use 2 at a time and buy 2 items (mixed with a few other things).

I know that's alot of trips but I used 4 and she stared at them forever like she was gonna say NO.

Thats what I do, buy the rest of my stuff along with 2 lip balms. Use 2 coupons but, I have a coupon for everything else anyway. Since it is not something I actually need, just a bonus, I am happy with 2.
