Received an email this am about free haircut in August for any child K-6th at every JcPenney salon. Advises to call and make an appointment. I called and sure enough I have an appointment now to get my daughter a free haircut. HTH

In the month of August, JCP salons are giving free hair cuts to kids in grades K-6. Go to jcp.com to find the salon nearest you to get your apt. I just called and got one easy as pie and it will be completely free except for the tip for the sylist!!! Great deal but I would act fast as this is starting to be pretty well known and apts will fill up fast!

I called my local store and they stated that they don't have the scheduling book yet for that month. But they took my name/number so that I can get my daughter in for her cut. I think I might get one too, since hers will be free, we will make a day of it!

The advertisement say any kid in k-6th. So you don't have to be a member. Is just say that jcp rewards members are the first to know.

My local jcp salon seems to be a little bit stumped by this whole promotion... I called on Friday when I first heard of it and was told that I had to call the number included in the email. The girl didn't have the email in front of her but she thought it was 1-855-jcp kids. I called and it didn't ring but played hold music for about half an hour before I gave up.

Well I've since seen the promo and all it says is to call your local salon, so I called back this morning, and the girl who told me she was new, said she'd work on the appointments and call me back. I wonder if they know what they're supposed to do with this promo, or if my local salon is trying to limit appointments for this deal to certain days or times? The promo says anytime in August so I'm not sure why my jcp salon is having such a hard time with the concept.

I want to get a cut for myself too so I thought I'd schedule it for the same day to let them make a little money off of us I guess I'll see what they say if/when they call me back!

I called my location when I found out on Friday as well. The lady admited that no one knew how they where going to do the promotion or if appointments where allowed. She did say they where having a meeting about the promotion on Monday and to call back then because she would know more. I plan to call them back monday afternoon to see if i can't get an appointment because I would like to take the girls on a weekend so we can make a day in town out of it but I don't want to walk-in and get stuck waiting forever.

Happy to report that after I called back a third time we managed to get all three appointments setup in the system This is a really nice help financially before school starts and it will be a "day of beauty" for me and my girls! Thanks JCP!!!

Not sure where southside is! We maybe in the same area, I'm not to good about where southside/peninsula and mainside is!! I called our JCP and the rep there said they will start taking appointments at the end of July. I was surprised when I got this email. So nice of them to do this!!

I had a similar problem when I first called. The lady told me that all the appts were being set up online and that is where I had to go to find out what was available. Needless to say she had no idea what she was talking about. There is nothing on the website for that. I called back and a nice young man answered and told me he would happily help me set up an appt.

So apparently we just need to keep calling till we get someone that knows what the deal is.

I called my location (Wichita KS) and I am set up for the first day of August for 2 of my children (the only ones between those grades). It worked here. If you are having some problems be patient and I bet it gets worked out.
