Make sure that you have at least one item for each man q you're using (including RRs). RRs don't generally roll on the same item. A lot of things are YMMV, but some (most?) stores will allow you to use two man qs on a BOGO sale. |

Also, plan out your trip first with the things you really need to buy..I usually start with a first transaction w/something that will generate a RR so I don't have to pay too much out of pocket and include an item with a RR in each transaction..also, don't forget to ask for samples in cosmetics, as those usually have more coupons in the info for the sample item. Take full advantage of your coupons, their ad coupons and the Easy Saver coupons. HTH

Yes, they are very similar! The only thing is that you cannot use the RR from a product to purchase the same product in another transaction...it won't print one out. And you are technically only supposed to use one per transaction buy YMMV!

Also, do they have the $/$$ coupons like CVS?

They do have $$ off WG every once in a while...they just had one a few weeks ago so they probably won't have one for another month or two. I would sign up on their website so you can get their coupons and other deals. WG is a good place to find deals. This is my favorite store and I am sure you will find great deals too!

a good thing to buy would be the chapstick naturals. they are $2, and you get $2 RR back (one per purchase). there is a .99 chapstick Q in this week's circular. so you'd make a profit!

they are like cvs extra care bucks; they print out of a cash register machine and are good on your next purchase.

These RR are only on certain products that are advertised by Walgreens in their ad.

Once you get the hang of Walgreen's you'll get some good deals. We have one on every corner (kid you not) and right now I have to go out of my area because we are getting a new one. I prefer Walgreen's over CVS because I only have one and its never stocked with merchandise and never have I found a clearance item there. Where as Walgreen's are stocked and if they don't have what I want I just go to the other 10 locations near me.

Hey Liz! I've also attempted WGs this week! It's a lot more complicated than CVS for me, but I think I'm getting the hang of it! A few good buys I noticed.....chapstick naturals. Use the 99 cent Q in the add, you get back $2 RR. Robitussin....3.99 - 3.00 printable Q (same one we used at CVS last week). That also gives you back 2 RR. And the phenom razor (if you don't already have enough!) 9.99-4.00 Q. You get back 6 RR. Scrubbing Bubbles wipes are 2/$5. There's a $1 printable out there. You get back $1 each MIR with WGs easy saver book. Glade plug-ins/wisp refills are also 2/$5. I had mani Qs for $1/1. They also have a $1 each MIR. Oh.....and the Oust spray. 2/$7. There were $2/1 Qs last week, plus there's a BOGO Q printable. Use the BOGO Q & 1 $2/1 Q making it 1.50 for 2. There's a MIR for $1 too (but the limit is 1....still a good deal since it ends up being .25 each!!) Good luck! Let me know how you do! |

Oh....1 more thing. You can't buy multiples of the same item in one transaction and get multiple RRs. Ex: If you buy 3 chapsticks at once, you'll only get 1 $2 RR.

I'm new to RR's. Can I stack 2 RR's (eg. the $2 chapstick and $6 fusion RR's) to pay for one transaction/purchase (like CVS's ECBs)?

You may be able to. I think you are technically not supposed to, at least that is what it states on the RR. But you can try this. It won't work if you have more manufacturers coupns than you do products though. |

Avoid checking out at the cosmetic counter. I have noticed the cosmetic checkers get very, very hostile about coupons and can NOT ring them up correctly. Eight times I have had to request that a manager be called up. And, of course, the manager said I was right each time.

In my store the cosmetics counter girls are the BEST! They are the only ones who don't give attitude when they see the coupons.

My cosmetic girls are really good about coupons also!!! They let pretty much anything go through if the register will accept it! You can use a maximum of two RR to pay for a transaction. I tried yesterday to use more, and it just kept beeping even if they were different RR's!! Also, watch your RR's experation dates! They are only good for two weeks after you get them. ENJOY WALGREENS!

Our cosmetic girls and pharmacy are REALLY bad with coupons. They can't ever seem to get them to go through even if I have the product. One day the girl kept hitting buttons to try to make it work and all she did was lock up the computer and then I was there forever. It was a really bad day!
