All I can say is if you have a Walmart that price matches near by and a Meijer nearby then take advantage. I got off work tonight and did my grocery shopping. Just about everything I bought I had a price match or coupon for. I will try to summarize. Meijer has a lot of store brand items on sale which my Walmart will match to GV brand. I bought 75 items which included 2 -2 lb. packs of ground chuck and a large pack of boneless pork loins. I spent $76.78. Two weeks ago when I bought groceries, I spent $154.00. I was able to cut my bill in half!!:

So how do you price match meat? Say Giant Eagle has pork chops on sale for $1.99 a pound. Do I just pick out any brand of pork chops at Walmart? Thanks!

If it is a store brand, then if they have store brand meat you have to get it and just tell the cashier before she rings it up what the new price is per pound. The register does the math based off the weight. My store doesn't have anything but Tyson on pork, so when another store has their brand on clearance I price match at Walmart with Tyson with pork. I hope that was clear as mud.

Yup!! Love all the ad matching and coupon work I can do at Meijer's and Walmart. I prefer Meijer's though because for some reason I always spend way more at WalMart... I dunno why...

WOW..good shopping! I price match at Walmart every week using Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Piggly Wiggly, CVS and K Mart. It really saves a bundle!
