Just curious what you buy to get your totals or item counts up.

I need to make a list of odds and ends that we actually need, but my favorite is People Magazine. I love when I am at around 28.00 and know that I can throw in a People or US Weekly and then use my 5/30.00 coupon. I never buy it otherwise and it is such a treat to indulge in celebrity gossip.

Anything from their little $1 section (fabric softener, baby lotion, soap, candles, etc), pencils, candy, and my new favorite is the $1 socks I found on an end cap.

On Sunday, the newspaper (more coupons!) Rest of the time, Hershey bars (to eventually earn free ones.)

I love to get US weekly too. I feel like it is my little reward for saving so much money. It is much better for me than getting candy too.

My favorite filler is greeting cards. I usually get the .99 ones. There always seems to be a reason to buy a card, so CVS seems like the best place to get them to up my item count!

I have been picking up index cards, which come in handy for ds words he is learning in school. If it's a holiday I will pick up candies. They have the sweetheart candy's $1/2. I'm going to have to check out the socks everyone keeps talking about.

last time i got some $1 sponges, there is usually always something I need so I don't have problems getting the amounts up, usually I am over what I need, but $1 items or snacks are always good, water if I'm thirsty and I'm not near home.

my new favortie to get my item count up is the crystal light singles packets. they are 49 cents in the fridge section. i keep a container on my counter to keep them in and i just grab one of those and a bottle of water on my way out the door to the gym.

I always get the 2-packs of baby food. They are $1.59 and I always can use that! I got tired of grabing a candy bar and decided to pay a little bit more and get something I'll need.

My fav filler(like I have even established a fav yet...just did my second CVS trip,HAHAHA) and it is candy/gum for my boys for super-star behavior while I shop! It helps them to behave and have something to look forward too, and in turn helps me concentrate on finding the items I need!

Last week my favorite filler was the Playskool cups that were 25% off, making them $2 at my store.
But usually is small bag of M&M's for DD-a bribe for being so good!
There never seems to be anything good (of that I would use) in the $1 aisle or any endcaps at my store.

Today's fillers were Twix and Kit Kat picked by my husband.
And CVS cosmetic cottons 99 cents for me.

I pick something with full ECB back (like this week's garnier), or candy for now. I wanted those socks, but could not find any.

until I max out the monthly deals, it will be boost smoothies and low-dose asprin. Puffs with vicks are 99c and there is a $1 Q. Also the general mills cereal cups are ringing 49c instead of $1, and there is the $1/1 q for honey nut cheerios (use one Q for 2 cereal cups).

The snack rack that has ritz cracker sandwiches for 3/$1 make a good filler if it's really close.

my favorite is pencils. I have about 30 now so I am trying to get other things. So I moved onto Ramen noodles. Some stores are 2/$1 and some are 2/$.79 so they work great, but now I have about 16 packages of Ramen noodles. So I will move onto the $1 days area. They usually have something I can get. If they go 90% on Valentines items then in a few weeks that will be what I get. I usually get a reeses too if I am a little hungry, but I am
really trying to stay away from those.

I pick up what ever I can find. Look for clearance. If all else fails I go grab a $1.00 two pack of toothpicks. Can never have to many of those! . I do grab alot of pencils. I save them up then donate them to the community center. It helps the children with school supplies. Pay it forward.

u can also get something in the travel size items that works out great too and its under a $1.00 some of them and you always use something in the department

This is a great filler; hubby just started drinking it. And much better than a candy bar.

We're pencil people here, too. They only cost 25 cents apiece here, and they have cool designs. The kids love them!

I grabbed the $3.99 diet/appatite supressent gum today.

It was $4 but really just a roll of ECB's

But the $1 Boost and the CVS Asprin's for $1.79 are good too!
