Help Sign Stacking vs. super stacking???

What's the difference? I've figured out that stacking is using multiple coupons for one transaction like 5/30 & 4/20 & 3/15...but what's "superstacking"? Or is that superstacking?

Please help a dumb, confused newbie!!

I don't stack. But I would guess from what I have read on here that super stacking would be using all the $/$$.

Good question.

Stacking is using multiple $/$$ coupons...that when added together are covered by your total

for example:
Purchase = $60
I can use a 10/50 and a 2/10
or 5/30 and 4/20 and 2/10

Superstacking is when you exceed your total when the coupons are added.

purchase = $60
-10/50
-5/30
-4/20
-3/15
-2/10

So techinically your purchase should total $125 to use all those coupons, but at some stores since you are still over the next coupon "threshold" they will let you use them...

60 - 10 = 50

so you can use
50-5 =45

so ok to use
45- 4 = 41

Hopefully that made sense.

Speaking of stacking....I asked my CVS cashier today what their policy is. They actually had it posted.

She said I can stack IF the coupon doesn't say LIMIT 1 PER CUSTOMER. It looks like all the Q's on the generator say this.

She did say that some coupons DO NOT say this and then they accept stacking.

Do any of the latter scenerio (no limit) exist currently?

I was able to Super-Duper-Stack until today.

Our CVS would take multiples of the same $/$$ as long as the codes were different and they didn't beep - but no more. It was nice while it lasted, though!

I was able to use multiples of the same amount, but with different codes. All of mine did say "1 per customer" though. Until I'm told otherwise, I'll assume that means 1 with that code!

BTW....one of my transactions today (that was superstacked) was rung by the store manager and he didn't say a word!

I have been able to do this at most any store that I walk into when I first started CVS which was in November since then I have had a few say they don't do that any more and one yesterday came up with something I had yet to come across

I was trying to use
$10/$50
$5/$30
$5/$30 different code
$4/20
$5/$15
$3/$15
$3/$15 different code
$2/$10
$2/$10 different code

she would not let me "piggyback" Ididn't know what she meant by this and so she told me to give her all the coupons and I ended up only being able to use
$10/$50
$5/$30
$4/20
$5/$15
$2/$10

I hope that everyone can see what piggybacking means by this. basically you can't use same value ones.

HTH someone. I will still be able to get good deals there but I will now have to work my deals differently.

One store closest to me says that they wouldn't take the $10/$50 coupon as I have copied it or already used it (this was without scanning it) they had a list of different codes that they wouldn't take. Then one 24 hour store that I liked to go to late in the evening will only take one printed off coupon at all in one order. not even a $5/$15 and a $2/$10 if your order is $35. So that is 3 stores that have changed since I started. I go to at least 7 different stores when there are really good deals.

I have stacked using same amount coupons with diff codes w/ any problem. They don't even blink an eye! Like it has said in other posts it all depends on the store individual policy. One of the stores in my area has that new software that beeps. I just stick tot he store that I have yet to be questioned about ym coupon use at. In fact they congratulate me on my savings!

I only use 1 $/$$ per transaction and still get great deals and very little OOP. It is possible, you just have to plan things out a little more!

What's going on is too many people are totally abusing stacking so now they're slowly cracking down on it everywhere. CVS never intended on people getting $50 worth of stuff for free on a $60 order! The managers who were allowing it were probably never supposed to in the first place. As nice as stacking can be, does it really make sense that this is what CVS wanted us to do? I'm not trying to get in any arguments here, just stating my opinion on the matter. I think it was just a matter of time. Hopefully they will continue to put $/$$$ q's out there for us to use responsibly.

you can still get free items without stacking...Carefully planning cvs coupons, with manufacturer coupons and ECB's. Don't worry about CVS... they are making lots of money. I have NEVER gone in the store and seen anyone but me using cvs printed coupons!? We are definately the minority. If your store allows it, I say go for it. As long as you are not knowing "slipping" something by..like a fraudulant coupon, expireds etc... There are other sites that make me cringe when I see what they will do...

Oh, you can get great deals without stacking! I went today and got over $60 worth of stuff for 32 ECBS and got 26 ECBs back, so you still get a great deal, and you feel good about it! I have gotten over $1200 worth since November and my OOP has been less than $100, just by planning carefully and rolling those ecbs. So if you can't stack, or choose not to like I do, don't worry that you won't get the deals! You can still do great!

I went to CVS today and was able to stack. I have been kind of afraid to try since I heard about stores not allowing it. I didn't want to go overboard, though. My total was $64.xx and I used a $5 off $30 and a $3 off $15. Didn't want to push my luck by using more than that.
