So the story goes like this, I have been cutting coupons and watching the deals all week long, so when today came I knew what I was doing when I went to the stores. I went to Big Lots, Albertsons, Fred Meyer, Walgreens, Target, Rite-Aid, Office Depot, and Safeway. I went to Big Lots, Albertsons, Fred Meyer, & Walgreens with no problems at all, then I went to Target, not really any problems, but the casher said that they just had a meeting to talk about the coupons, and how they need to make sure that they are not scaning ones that can not be used. The casher said that they have had people come in a use to many coupons. (Thats was me I saved $50.88 using coupons today.) The lady behind me said "wow the total has gone down like $20 since I have been standing here". I told her it pays to cut coupons. After that I stopped by home to let the dogs out and to unload the car, and off to Office Depot, no problems to report there. Then across the parking lot to Rite-Aid. I pull out my coupons and wonder around the store trying to find everything, I finish up and head the the check out, the casher looks at my stack of coupons and rudely says " we don't take printed coupons unless it says Rite-Aid on it". I told her that was fine, since I only had one, then they had Johnson & Johnson softwash BOGO. I love this soap, so I pull out my Johnson baby coupons and give them to her, and again she rudely says " this is not a baby product, you can only use that coupon for the items that are pictured". I told her I have used the coupon on that product before and it has been fine. She then tells me she has to call the manager and check. The manger comes up and asks the casher if she even tried to scan the coupon, "that would be a big fat NO". The manager tells her to scan them and see if they work, well they do, lucky me. And to top it all off of my way out the casher has a nerve to say rudely "have a nice day". I smiled and walked out. So I am going to find a new Rite-Aid, or just not shop there. Not sure yet. What I really wanted to do was share with savings with everyone. My before was $487.20 After was $252.56 Total savings of $234.64 I am pretty happy. (the total will go down tomorrow as I have to return an item, and have them fix the price of an item as they over charged me.) Have a great weekend everyone. |

Good job! It is so satisfying when you walk away with a large amount of savings. I love that feeling. I would have gone to find the manager after my transaction and told him/her about the cashier. How rude! |
