Someone sad it - how sad is it that Wal Mart has no deals. I left a whole cart load today at one Wal-Mart because they wouldn't comp. Just left it at the register and walked off and said "Thanks for wasting my time". I spent like an hour there getting the cart full.

That's funny because I went there tonight and felt the same way. I used to be so pro-Walmart but since becoming addicted to AFC and shopping at other stores offering BOGO and double coupons my thoughts on Walmart have changed. Its good for certain things but I am glad I won't have to make my weekly trip anymore. They have the worst customer service and their carts are scuzzy.

I guess it just depends on which Walmart it is. They always comp for me.

My walmart will comp prices, but it is such a pain to get them to do it that it isn't worth it. But on a side note, the reason I don't go to Wally world anymore is that they treat me like I'm an idiot. They tried to tell me that the pajamas that said I love reindeer were valentines day pjs not christmas. Because they were pink with hearts. Well the hearts all had reindeer heads on them and they were girls pjs. Oh and for that matter neither were the scotty dog pjs with holly all over them. The holly wasn't the main picture, the dogs were..... so not christmas items either.

I hate walmart now and I used to spended over $200 a month there EASILY. Now they are lucky to get me in the door. They better be glad they have the fabric section b/c that is one of the few things they have that I can't get elsewhere here. Usu. when I go I get someone rude. Last time I went was to get sewing machine needles and I was needing to find a scanner to try to figure out which pjs everyone was talking about being $1.50 and I had to ask a guy. Turned out he kept me for 30 minutes talking and was asking if I had a husband or boyfriend and telling me I was a nice lady and all this crap and I think he was hitting on me. I guess there IS something worse than a rude worker...and that was it! I HATE IT. Price comping is a pain, especially when you have to explain what 2/$5 means and that 10 for $10 means $1 each, not $10.

Well, they're pretty much screwed. I guess I'll have to go to Houston to the Singer store for my machine needles. They have a target by them, so I guess I'll just have to pop in there when I go. Take that wal-mart!

I know marbear hates Walmart . I love my Superwalmart. I haven't tried comping though because I can't remember the prices. But lately my superwalmart had been good with overages...Their registers don't beep like Target and says 'item not found' when your coupon is more that the item. It only prompts the cashier '$x valid coupon amt?' and the cashier I guess just hits a yes button. I have done this with Glucerna which gave $4+ overage.

Well, the one thing I did love about walmart was the inexpensive ready to microwave sausage patties by great value. They were $3.50 for 16 or so depending on which variety you got. I don't know about you, but being splatted with sausage grease is not the way I want to greet my day. Since my oldest looooves him some pig in the morning, I would still go to walmart for this. Now they are up to $4 a pack and I noticed Target is now carrying the same thing in another brand. It is like Walmart cannot win for losing. I did get some cheap cereal there when I got the pjs and sewing needles. I will post in another thread.

I got mad at Walmart the other day because as soon as I traded for Goodlife coupons they went and raised the price to $4.24 a bag. Now I will actually have to pay for the food. ![]() Marianne |

| My target has sewing machine needles, maybe not the ones you were looking for though. If Walmart gets rid of fabric I never have to go there again, woo hoo. But I will miss the cheap fabric. Jo ans is so expensive and so is hobby lobby. How can they do this to me!!!!!

They had them with the sewing machines. I know that not all targets carry sewing machines, but mine does. They are in the same aisle as the irons I think.

| The stores in my area are showing no sign of doing away with the fabric section, BUT the brand new one they built closest to me didn't have one. I think it just depends on the competition. There are only two JoAnn's in our city and Hobby Lobby has a tiny fabric section, so most of the Walmarts do pretty well with their fabric/craft section.

Hmmm, they better not do away with the fabric, it's practically the only thing that gets me through the door there. I hate Walmart, their cashiers are always in a bad mood. I can have a great conversation with most any of the cashiers at target. Walmart they look at you like you have boogers hanging out your nose. It's a waste of my time.

| Wal- Mart rant!!!
It used to be that I ONLY shopped at the Super Wal-Mart because they had the best prices. Now, I clip my q's and compare my sales circulars, and I only shop at Super Wal-Mart for things I cannot get anywhere else at a better price. On the whole, the employees are just plain rude! They never greet me, the whole "was your store clean?", "did your cashier greet you?" question prompt when you pay such a waste of time!!! For the most part, they scowl and carry on conversations with other employees or on their cell phones while I check out. Which is why I usually use the self check out; but that is a whole other story. I hope Target puts Wal-Mart out of biz real soon!!!

I am glad I'm not the only one that is disgusted with WalMart. I used to shop there DAILY and now I only shop at Target. The WalMart closest to me has the worst carts, they are all broken, rusted, and just plain gross. I called Corporate and you know what they did for me? They had the store manager call me and tell me how they know their carts are bad and that are looking into getting new ones!!!! Its been 2 months and I finally went back tonight only to see the SAME shopping carts. Not to mention, went to get an oil change and they only had one tech and a 2 hour wait. We left and went to another Walmart cuz I needed that oil change and a prescription filled for my son and low and behold, I paid for a vacuum that I never seem to get. I think Ill be calling corporate again. (Not like they'll do anything though)

I complained about the produce and them not accepting internet coupons and the manger called me. He said they try to keep up on internet coupons and if I have issues let him know (I don't have time for that). He seemed shocked when I said the produce quality was bad. He was like "Joe does a great job over in produce and we have quality items...." Well the pumpkins were moldy and broken stemmed and the cucumbers and tomatos were almost rotten. I will buy no meat or produce from the anymore. I used to be all about their cheap prices but I don't think they are all that cheap and customer service sucks.

All of you need to move to Bluffton, Indiana!! Most all of the employees in the store where I work, including me, are very friendly and have no problems price matching. I have not heard anything about Fabrics going anywhere either. There are some employees that could care less, but that is because they don't get paid very much and are whiners!! But, I really enjoy my job and have walked clear to the other side of the store before when helping a customer. So, not all the Walmart's are horrible. I would say it is totally a YMMV thing!!! I am not saying that your Walmart's aren't horrible, I'm just saying that not all of them are.

I agree that not all Walmarts are horrible. I actually like the one near my house here in Saint Charles, MO and all the other Walmarts I've been to in this area - oh and also ones in Dallas, TX where I used to live.
