Star CVS policy on Stacking q's.

Dear Ms. Jo S.,

ALL Earned Extra Bucks coupons associated with an ExtraCare card may now be redeemed in a single transaction. The retail price must be greater
than the combined total of all coupons. Please keep in mind there is no
cash value back for any unused portion of the coupon.
NOTE: Use of Manufacturer coupons remains limited to one per item in
any transaction.
Regarding using multiple coupons on purchases. Coupons are "stackable"
as long as the total threshold is reached. For example - If you have 3
coupons for "$4 off $20 purchase" and you are making a $50 purchase, you
can only use 2 of those coupons (this is assuming the coupons do not say
"limit one per customer"). You would have to spend $60 to use all
three.
If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us
either by e-mail or by calling (800) 746-7287. Thank you for taking the
time to contact us. I hope you have a nice day.
Sincerely,
Troy F****

Thank you for posting that info. I was wondering what the story was as far as why some stores do it and others don't. May I ask how you had that info emailed to you? did you write to them with a specific question? thanks

I sent an email about the stacking coupons. Been doing it for a few weeks now. It just seemed like EVERYONE has been walking out of their stores buying around $100 worth of stuff and only spending around $2-$3. So, out of being curious, sent them an email asking if it was alright to use a $2/$10 and a $3/$15 in the same transaction....this is the email that I got back (4 days later).

CVS told me as long as they are different coupons you can use them. i.e. you can not use multiple $2/$10. I am going CVS hopping today to see if I cn afind size 2T PullUps.

I was told that it is really up to the district manager for and then the store manager. For example in my district the manager's motto is "we aren't the coupon police", however at one my local stores the managers policy is "that is BS I will run my store the way I want to", so no stacking at that store. At another store they will stack and allow expired ECB. My best advice to everyone is to first make friends with a cashier, frequent that store often and be nice. Start small talk with the cashier then you will start to get the lowdown for your area.
