I just wanted to give newbies the heads up....since i haven't seen it in a long time...that when you check out make sure that have more items then ALL your coupons. (CVS, printables, manufactors.etc...) Before I get to the register I count my items and if I need something else I get a candy bar/gum. Everytime it's worked not having the register BEEP at me. This is all dependant on the cashier is willing to use everything but if they do I've never had any BEEPS since!!! Hope that helps!! Last edited by CM_ANGEL; 12-22-2007 at 03:56 PM. |

Actually it is equal items and coupons (or more items) There is a CVS 101 thread I will bump since it may help some newbies.

This has changed in recent weeks. I have been doing it for at least 2 weeks now. All you need to have is the same or more items than CVS coupons. The register will take off 1 CVS coupon and 1 manu coupon for each item you have. So if you have 10 items, you can use 10 cvs coupons and 10 manu coupons. and then you can still use ECB. Now some cashiers will add up your $/$$ to see if you totals match, meaning if you buy $45 worth, the $/$$ will have to match that total. You can use 3 $5/$15, that equals $45. Some will take more, but the ones saying they can't stack anymore, will use that method which to me is still a great way to stack!

I too have found that as long as I have as many items as the cvs coupons, then the register doesn't beep. I do try to keep a few small fillers nearby, just in case though.

Not any more. You can use as many ECBs as you want as long as they are different coupon numbers. Same goes for CVS coupons. I used about 10 ECBS and two $off purchase coupons for a norelco razor. |

Hi everyone.. well let me just say I made a big mistake last week at cvs and didnt realize because I was in such a rush. I had gotten: Pack of Huggies on Sale: 13.99 Tylenol: 5.79- 50 pack Used: $5 off 15 -5.00 mfg coupon (tylenol) -1.25 mfg huggies -4 ecbs -4 ecbs So it came to less than a dollar oop and nothing beeped or anything. I handed the cvs coupon first, than mfg, and than the ecbs. I guess I was really lucky that it didnt beep. |

| You pulled up an old thread -- the CVS 101 subforum will give you some more information if you are new to CVS shopping. The coupon limit of one per item mentioned in the OP is actually a limit of one manufacturer's coupon per item. You are allowed one CVS coupon and one manufacturer's coupon per item. You can use as many ECBs as you want (have) to pay for your transaction. |

Yes, this is NOT the case at my store. I could use a RIB, a manuf. and a CRT with an ECB on ONE item at my store... I have not done that, just using it as an example... |

i have never had a problem using coupons at cvs. I have never been told that I had too many coupons CVS or otherwise. the only time I have been told that I needed to add another item is when my ECBs were more than my total and i would basically be throwing away my ecb. I guess maybe I'm lucky here?

This is an old thread w/ outdated info in the beginning. If you purchase 10 items at CVS, you may use 10 CVS coupons (includes item-specific CRT type coupons and also any $/$$ coupons) and 10 manufacturer's coupons AND you may use as many ECBs as you wish to finish paying. If you are reading this and happen to be a current WAGs shopper, please know that CVS is VERY different and does not restrict ECBs the way that WAGs restricts RR. ECBs DO NOT count as a coupon in the register (they do ring up as a 'cvs coupon' on the receipt but the register does not count them as a coupon when determining how many coupons you can use).
