Not sure if this was posted or not..I just left target, I ran in to get the banana boat sunscreen and thy had the lip balm 1.79 and sights under it buy 2 get a $5 gift card... Total came to 3.58 and got a $5 gift card.. he said its a glitch but there was clear signage and it rang in the register too! ( even though the cashier did say I don't thi k your suppose to get a gift card when your total is only 3.58!!!!) so if you are heading to target today, check it out in your store!

I had to tell them what their sign said...I got my gift card, then they removed the sign for that product :-(

No GC for me. I was told the sign was fine and I was NOT to get the GC, when I bought 4 and did NOT get the GC. Sign says select products and even though the sign had the lip balm on it with buy 2, get $5 GC, since it said select products I was told the sign was fine and I was wrong.

Oh well..... False advertisement I believe. They said they would not take the sign down.

sorry everyone that tried and did not get it.. when I went this morning, the guy that checked the lip balm said the register even said buy 2 get a $5 gc!!!

i belive all the giftcard offer state that the product price has to be above the giftcard amount so it would have worked with 1 lipbalm and anothe product that brought the total to 5.00. if that didn't work, then i would go to the manager but we have to obey all the words on the sign, not just the ones we like if we expect stores to honor promotions.

I bought 6 of them last night and did not get the gift cards BUT , I took the sign to cs and they gave me the gift cards , then threw out the sign saying we need to call someone and fix this ? what ever that means but I did get mine after a bit of a hassle .

i got gift card each time i did this . i did use lip balm and sun screen with each but my issue was signs where just toss on and both time i got differnet price and needed a price adjustment ahh which is a total pain with giftcard deal .

I bought 2 of the lip balm and the mgr wanted me to get the sign and she told me that alot of times their signs are misleading to get you to buy bigger bottles of sunscreen. Now why would they admit that to me? They did honor the sign though because I told them that that sign was very misleading.

They didn't have he banana boat lip balm marked at my target, but they did have Hawaiian tropic SPF 50 sticks for 4.99.. If you have the 2/1 coupon it could be a good deal.. I had already used mine on deals at other stores already

Gift card will not prompt if the total is not above $5, its is a part of the fine print in the gift card promotions.

I purchased a sunscreen and lip balm used (1) $2/1 Hawaiian Tropic and got my $5 GC and my total was less than a dollar after the gift card. I am going back today to get more!

Worked for me yesterday. First off, yes the total has to be more than $5 to get a $5 gift card - it's what's on the fine print all the time.

I purchased 3 Banana Boat lip balms and 3 Banana Boat Aloe After Sun, used 3 $1 off coupons, and got 3 $5 gift cards. Went back in and did it again, so a total of 6 balms and 6 After Suns.

@ the register it didn't promt the screen for the gft card to b issue the girl asked her mngr & they grab the sign that said 2 lip balm & get a $5 gft card,so I got my 3 gft crds!
