I was reading on another message board where they said that you can only use each $/$$ one time per card. They were also talking about people "copying" the coupons and committing fraud. I have always taken the policy that if CVS sent me an e-mailed $/$$ they allowed me to print out multiple copies of the coupon and use it until it expired. Otherwise, they would use a "bricks" system which only allows you to print a coupon once or twice. However, I noticed on the 5/30 coupon that I got this weekend that it said "Limit 1 per customer." I don't remember seeing that in the past. So, does anyone know? Is CVS' policy that we are 1 and out? I was also told about the e-mail from corporate that was talked about earlier this week where stores were told to "limit the number of printed coupons" they take. The impression I got was that it applied only to CVS coupons (i.e 5/30, $2 off excederin, etc.) My store still lets me stack, but I think I am going to stop trying from now on. Since they got an e-mail about it I don't want to get my cashiers in trouble by ignoring the e-mail and stacking for me. |

I am really not sure on what the official written policy is. However, if they wanted to limit the coupon usage they would install a different system. I fully believe that CVS allows stacking and the coupon games as a marketing/competitive ploy. I have lived all over the country and the policy seems to really be different based on how long CVS has had a presence in that area. Where I live now CVS is new (the came in and took over another chain) they are super liberal with the coupons. I spoke with a manager about it the other day and he said that there had been nothing in this area about stopping the coupons. He agreed with me that if they stopped it they would lose a lot of business in this area as customers are still getting used to them. I think that the recent crack downs are for parts of the country where the presence is now entrenched for the consumer. In my opinion CVS is much too big of a corporation to be tricked by all these coupon games. There are always a few misplanned instances (perhaps the nova max was an accident, perhaps not). They are allowing it, simply because it brings them loyal consumers. If they really want it to stop, it is fairly simple to install computer programs that will virtually eliminate the human ability to override the system. |

Does anyone know if we can use ECB's to pay for photo lab stuff, like prints, enlargements etc?

i talked to my manager at cvs the other day and what you said is pretty much exactly what she said..about copying coupons and that it is only one per customer..yes..these coupons are only suppose to be one per customer..im pretty sure they all say that..all the ones i have seen have..she said that the managers have been in meetings lately about coupon fraud and that they were going to start cracking down on it..

If you notice some of the WELCOME emails like 48102, 48103 said "one coupon per cardholder". But, Limit 1 coupon per customer implies, Limit one coupon per visit. Different valued coupons can be combined because each coupon is "different code, different $/$$". To avoid the strange look on the cashiers' face I print the page that sends me to to the coupon and staple the coupon to it that way the manufacturer cant deny they ever offered it. |
