| Cheap way to Spa Rewards on Easysaver this month!
Hey ya'll, Checking the Easysaver for the Spa Rewards, 25ct Robitussin cough drops are a qualifying item for Spa Rewards this month (as they were last month). The deal this week is 3/$2, so $2.67 worth of cough drops for your $100 Spa Certificate at Walgreens this week. If you can't find the drops at your location, get a raincheck. You have all month to purchase for Spa Rewards but the drops are only on sale this week. I haven't checked to see if there were matching Q's from previous inserts. I didn't find any in this weeks for the drops...... Enjoy! |

Mochanchan, I don't think anybody has gotten this yet from last month. They indicated 4-6 weeks for delivery of the certificates. Unless somebody bought everything the first week and sent it in immediately, they have not had time to process them yet. BargainBetty, If it works as described, it is definitely worth it. They restructured the program after they got so many calls because all the initial info was so vague. Several people confirmed that you would be allowed to use all $100 in the same visit. At my local spas that would be good for a 90 minute massage + manicure or pedicure & you'd only have to basically pay tax & tip. Even if there is a secret gotcha that nobody has come up with yet, its worth less that $3 to try IMHO...... I figure that the worst that can happen is that they only take $25 at a time (they are supposed to send (4) $25 certs so you don't have to use them all at once). $25 off a $60-75 massage still isn't that bad.....most would like to treat themselves during the holiday season sometime if they could afford it anyway. For those that can't normally afford......this could be your easy ticket! |

I have been looking for an inexpensive way to do this since I am not sure it will really work yet. You saved me time and money and we love cough drops. Repped ya!

Are you sure the cough drops qualify? The website says "Robitussin syrups" and "Robitussin Cold", which doesn't seem to indicate the drops would work. Also, in the weekly ad, the syrups are in the area advertising the Spa Rewards along with the Advil and Centrum, but the drops are down at the bottom outside the box. Hopefully I am wrong ... maybe you talked to someone who verified this!? This would really be an awesome way to do it! |

| Ren, At my store, they put out a new brochure regarding the Spa Rewards that was just a glossy cardboard sheet. On the front, the Spa Rewards logo page - on the back, a list of all qualifying products. 25 ct Robitussin Cough Drops was the first item on the list. I had my doubts too before I saw this & I will keep the card until I get certificates so I can fight for them if they reject my submission. They had them out last month.......perhaps there are still some around. At my store, they were in the bin at the front next to the sale papers where they also keep the Easysaver booklets. Take a look & see if you find one. I'd try to scan it & post it, but the files are normally too large..... |

I called the 1-800 # listed and the guy told me that you have to go to a licensed spa and that they WILL check to see if it's licensed. I told him I am in rural Arkansas it might be hard to even find a spa. He rattled off Ivy Cottage, which we do not have so I am just guessing he was Shutting me up. I did in fact call a day spa here and even go get their price list. If you can't use the $100.00 at once I'm not interested. I would suggest call all the local spas and see if they are licensed. And is Walgreen's going to reimburse the spas because we spent $2.60 on four bags of cough drops? Chris |

Here is the link from the Spa Rewards website. It indicates that $100 is the max allowable certificate use per spa visit (which generally says that all can be used at one time) & has a spa locator that indicates which cities have participating spas. There is an 800 number on the certificate that you call to set up your spa appointment - you do not deal with the spa directly. There should be no licenseing checks required because they set the appt up for you at qualifying spas. All they said was we had to buy 4 qualifying products.......they didn't say how much we had to spend. I don't know how they can afford to do it - all I know is I'm following the rules & I expect to get my certificates from both submissions. P.S. - I have the store flyer in front of me now........one thing to be careful of. Walgreens had some bags that were 20ct. 20ct is NOT included in the list! The listed cough drops are Robitussin 25ct (Menthol, Cherry, Honey Lemon, Honey Lemon Tea). I just noticed it this evening as I was in store buying mine....... ![]() I'll try to scan the card from the store that shows all the qualifying products when I get to work tomorrow & see if I can post it to this thread. That way if some don't care for the cough drops they can get some other qualifying products. I was just looking for the cheap way out since I don't need any more Robitussin, Advil or Prep H...... |

I asked today and the manager told me that it wouldn't work, then when I asked for a list showing exactly what would he said that it was what was pictured on the back of the book...when I pointed out that I couldn't tell what sizes each item was and that seemed a little strange he agreed. Then he told me that he just didn't know...nice....really nice. I am going to ask at another walgreens and see what they say. I will probably just buy the cough drops and try though. They are a good deal and we will need them soon. |

OH DANG DOUBLE DANG TRIPLE DANG!!! Last month I bought the 20 ct bags!! So I won't be getting the reward for October. And I can't even return them because I sent the receipt in to get the rebates!! That's what I get for just reading the posts and not looking at the fine print myself (no one had noticed last month about 20 ct vs 25 ct) Glad I had a "2nd chance" -- I just bought 4 bags of 25 ct. WAIT A MINUTE! I might not be screwed after all. Now that I think of it, I checked the website for qualifying products, before I bought those 20 ct cough drops last month, and I'm pretty sure they did qualify. HMMM... maybe they just got left off the cardboard display sheet. On the Wags website click on Easysaver-view current offers, then click on the last page to see the Spa Rewards offer, then view rebate offer deals, go to page 8 and click on the Honey Cough variety, that shows 20 ct. The other flavors show 25 ct. though. Hmmmm.... Last edited by spunki73; 11-14-2007 at 11:21 AM. Reason: wrong info |
