| I have never been to Walgreen's...
Is it all it's cracked up to be? I am getting sick of CVS not having anything in stock so maybe I will try Walgreen's. The rebate stuff sounds kinda confusing.

I'm over walgreens after doing the rebates one month. I did get the rebate back quickly, but it was stuff I really didn't need that bad anyway. On top of it, I hate them not letting me use printables and stuff seems waaaay overpriced. Even their pharmacy is overpriced. We have good insurance and I had to pay $60 out of pocket for a child's asthma spacer and the next time we got the rx filled we used another drug store and we got a nicer spacer for $16.

oh, and I had buy one get one catalinas from walgreens (from a friend) for formula. I had to use 3 catalinas at once b/c I wanted to use a $2 off 5 cans of formula catalina I had as well. I went in at least 5 times after the restock date (Tuesday) and they kept tellling me "next time, next time." It was a week later (and by then another truckw as coming in!). This happened at FOUR walgreens. Six small cans of nestle good start is apparentlytoo much to keep on the shelvesj, so good luck finding something in stock!

We don't have CVS here so Walgreens is the only choice. I have gotten some great deals at Walgreens. I usually end up walking out of the store savng 50-75% after its all said and done. Just keep in mind Walgreens regular prices are not good at all, its when you find the sales, for example 2/$4 and then you have 2 - $1 coupons on the item- that you get great deals. The easy saver catalog is actually really easy one you get the catalog and read it. I just keep all my receipts together and then you just mail it out at the end of the month. Make sure you make copies of the receipts! You can also use coupons on items you will be getting free out of the easy savers catalog - making money! My walgreens takes printable coupons so I havent had a problem with that yet. Hopefully yours will too!

I LOVE my WAGs! Not even at Walmart, can I get Benadryl, TheraFlu & Triaminic for $0.49/bottle! (Using WAGs sale, WAGs coups & manf. coups.) Nowhere else can I get Vive Pro treatments for $1.19 (using WAGs sale, WAGs coup & printable manf. coup. This is nearly $5/Walmart.) Where else can I get 6.4 oz tubes of Colgate for free? (WAGs sale, WAGs coup & manf. coup.) I could go on and on about the deals...then when you ad in the catalinas...yeah baby! |

I'm so spoiled spending less then $3 oop for most of my CVS transactions that I just can't get that same deal at Walgreens. I tried the rebate thing but it took like 45+ days to get my gift card. I guess if you keep doing that it works to your advantage but I like instant gratification! I can get that at CVS.

We have Walgreens on every block here so I don't usually have a problem with things being out of stock. I love their Easy Saver Rebates. If you can use a coupon on the FAR stuff then you really make out. You also get a 10% bonus when you select the gift card so you make back tax and more for the FAR stuff. They have great clearance stuff, too. The trick is to get a gift card for your Easy Saver Rebate and then just keep using the GC instead of paying cash for stuff. Just like rolling the ECBs at CVS. |

I love love Walgreen. I went to two last night after the kids went to bed to get my Triaminic for $1.49. I stocked up as when one gets sick they all get sick and then it goes around again . Plus I got some clearance perfume that regular $30 something for $5.00 . NO, I don't wear the stuff but nice gift . They took my internet coupon for Polly Pocket so I got one for .29¢ and my girls love them so now I gotten two one for each one and if I lucky I will be able to get maybe two more as they love Polly Pocket and they don't have any so it kind of easy to get ones for them and at that price WOW! I been not going for a couple week and the manager saw me and asked did someone make me mad and if so who and he would fix it . I said no just hadn't been able to come in. Love Walgreen. Did I say that already . I always do the Rebate and use that gift card to buy the stuff for next month and then resell what I don't use. It works for me.

My walgreens has the rudest people working there so unless it's a money maker I take a pass! The rebates don't work for me because I'm a procrastinator and usually don't get mailed on time.

I also prefer the instant gratification at CVS, but I hit all the major stores for freebies. Especially when major manufacturers do a new product release, you can generally get it free at CVS, Walgreens & RiteAid via their rewards programs. Walgreens will generally have some deals that you won't get at either of the other stores if you look to work the system. The Spa Rewards program on the Easysaver this month is a good example......where else can you get $100 in Spa certificates for spending less than $3? http://www.afullcup.com/upload/walgr...tml#post233166 They also had free Flameless candles AR/AC this month & there is generally a good Glade deal sometime during the month. It's a down month for freebies in November, but they have enough offers to generally make it worthwhile. GC is the way to go to get your rebate as the extra percentage covers your tax to make it really free. Just don't get caught paying regular price there......if its not on sale, they're not cheaper than anybody..... |

Oh, and I forgot to add......they only pain about the process is having to mail in the rebates. It looks like they are getting ready to fix that. WG is running a pilot program in Alabama for online entry of rebate receipts that would make their submission like the Single Check Rebate at RiteAid. Hopefully, they'll be rolling that out in the next few months & mailing it in will no longer be needed. |
