This year, Hanukkah is very early. It starts on 12/1 and ends on 12/9. When will the Hanukkah merchandise go on clearance? Will it go to 50% off right away?? Do I need to go every day and check out the situation. Thanks.

every store is different. usually, a few days before the holiday, it will go to 15%. day of, 50%. then downhill from there.

a few years ago they didn't put it on clearance until after Christmas! This year my store has one side of an entire row in the back of seasonal with Hanukkah items so I am hoping it goes on clearance right away!

I saw this merchandise today & it was not marked down as of yet...

I have seen this marked down a few days after the holiday and as posted above, sometimes not until after Christmas even when Hanukkah was weeks before and not near Christmas. So I guess I would just check every few days as there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason at my store.

Any markdowns yet on Hanukkah merchandise??? I was at Target on Friday and all merchandise was still regular price. Haven't been there since Friday.

Saturday it was still full price at mine too

Monday the gelt was marked down 50% but the dreidles were still full price. Go figure.
I saw a few things I really want to stock up on for next year though so I'll be checking back on thursday or friday, I think it should all be marked down by then.

I remember buying Hanukkah tissue during the Christmas clearance a couple of years ago. It was navy, pink and silver and I figured I could use it for birthday gifts ect.

I was at our Target today (Wednesday). All the Hanukkah merchandise had been moved from an endcap on the main aisle to an endcap on the backside of the gift wrap, etc. section. There was no clearance sign on the merchandise. All the candles and gelt were gone. All the decorations, plates, menorahs remained. I scanned one of the two electric menorahs that normally sell for $39.99. It scanned for 50% off...$19.99. So, I bought both of them. Paid with my Red Card and got extra 5% off. So, they were $18.99 each.

I "lit" one of the menorahs this afternoon. All the bulbs lit up but I don't like them because they burn orange and flicker. I don't like the orange "flame." For some reason, I thought the flame would be blue. I told my mother I didn't like the orange flame. Since I said I didn't like it, she said she did like it. If I say night, she says day without fail.
