So here are my questions on the P&G deal this week,

the fine print says the $5 cat will be calculated after Manufacturers Qs, has it always said this? Do you think it will print if the total is less than $20 after qs?

There is a $4 sinex q and the sinex is on sale for $4

Also the Olay body wash is on sale for $3.79, so do you think the $5 q from 10/31 P&G will go through or will they adjust it down?

I shop at Pick N Save, one of the many fine incarnations of Roundy's etc, and, I've never had an Ad mentioned Next Transaction Catalina - Red Gold, Free Milk/Eggs etc, not print because I used Qs.

But, the $5 Q will likely adjust down, as - they have started to adjust down doubling for Qs that double to more than the amount of an item, at least where I am.

I have ALWAYS received my cats based on amount before coupons. That would be something new. I've actually taken products to the service counter in the past couple of weeks and asked the attendant to do a trial run on a product to see if the catalina printed (which it did). This has been helpful to me when planning the deals ahead of time. The PNS's around me in SE Wisconsin have been very helpful in that regard. I actually had a cashier adjust several coupons UP because they only doubled up to shelf price. She said "customers complain when their coupons don't fully double". I was stunned!!

A few weeks ago I did not get the General Mills buy $25 get $10 cat & the manager said it was because it had to be after Q's. It did not state this in the ad. I actually had $30 worth but after q's it was $8. That was the first time I didn't get the cat & I've always been under the amount after q's.
I really hope that 1 time was a fluke.

The fine print reads: "$20 purchase requirement calculated after manufacturer's coupons." At first glance it seems to mean that the total must be $20 after coupons are deducted. But, it could also be interpreted to mean that the $20 is a calculation made after using mfr coupons: cash paid + coupons = $20.

Has anyone tried this deal yet using coupons?

3 secrets, 3 olay BW and 1 sinex...did not get the cat BUT they had the sinex marked up to $5.99 and then they adjusted it and I think that was the PROBLEM! Did not get the $5 back...will try again today. One great thing is that it took off the whole $5.00 amount for the $5 olay/secret Q...P&G Q's are very ODD so they probably couldn't get it to reduce to olay only...so I only paid $5.24 for all of that and I can turn in the receipt for reimbursement w/ my HSA (for the Sinex)so I was only out a $1.24.

Target will accept and they usually have it priced pretty low--$1.66-$1.86 about...if they don't expire for a while then Walgreens when they have a BOGO.
That is when I used mine...the last time they did that...

Target.com has mfq's for Sweet Moments, 1.00/1, I printed two yesterday. Still holding blinkies 1.00/1, but the blinkie machine is now gone at my RB. The blinkies say DND, the IPs do not, YMMV on doubling the blinkies.

Also, I picked up the in-store ad, they have Buitoni pasta or sauce 2/3.00, and I have some mfq's from the Target site. Have 2-1.50 on pasta wyb sauce, and 2-1.00 off pasta or sauce. Not sure when I printed them. I hope to buy 2 pasta and 2 sauce and use all 4 coupons. I've never had a problem at my RB using IP's.

Everything else on my list is from carefully studying Miss Karen's matchups, thank you very much. I'll post scenarios later when I get some worked up.

The Butoni is a good deal. The last sale they were 2 for $6 & get a free sauce. The shelf price is $3.89 - $4.19
There was a $1 q for Butoni in an Oct ss or rp insert. I don't remember which one or the date but I know it was Oct because I cut them out of my papers on Sat to use on the buy 2 pasta get free sauce deal, I ended up getting a raincheck for them & I finally got to use them last week. Probably have to get a raincheck for them this week too.

If you have any expired Sweet Moments q's:
they are $1.99 as part of Cubs save $5 when you buy 10 mix & match. Even though they're quick & easy I do not recommend them for breakfast, way to much sugar 1st thing in the morning.

For the PG deal, you have to spend $20 after ALL MANUFACTURER coupons. So if your items total $25 and you have $5 in coupons, you should get the $5 catalina. If you don't, you can argue that you spent at least $20.

From the yahoo group, two other people have tried and both had totals under $20 and they didn't get their catalina.

THOUGH my biggest question is would it include the doubled coupon amount or not?!?

I'll try to attach my excel spreadsheet with 4 scenarios. All are kind of iffy, may need padding with Roundy's milk, eggs, batteries, sour cream, etc. Or I may toss a couple packs of Angel Soft TP into the bottom of the cart, just in case the 25.00 needs to be sale price not shelf price on this particular day, and decide not to buy the TP if I don't need to.

Did anyone look at my scenarios? Problems abound. First off, I don't think the small cans of Maxwell House were B1G1F. Nothing was marked in my RB, for any of my sale prices, but I was able to find most things in the RB ad. Not the Maxwell House. I was probably mixing up my stores. Second problem, no 50% off Arm & Hammer dryer sheets. Sold out. Third problem, not enough Red Gold tomatos. I needed 11 cans, (1.00/4x2, and 1.00/3), they only had 6, so I got 3.

I went to 2 stores. No Sinex at either one & I left my other good P & G q's at home. I was going to use that to get to $25 so I had to find other stuff which was easy to do but not free. My 2 receipt q's for a free bag of candy ended up costing $.79 ea since all the Nestles halloween candy was gone. So I ended up spending $18.14 between the 2 but I did get a book I've looked at since it was full price for 75% off & 3 bottles of Bacon Salt for a gift.

2 cans of Carnation Evaporated Milk are free after dbl'd q in the Rainbow Baking Pamplet

The International Coffee box of 5 ind servings are $.09 after dbl'd q that expires Sat. The q was one in a recent insert that had a bunch of Kraft q's.

There's also a q for $.75/3 Pillsbury refrigerated items which makes 3 grands with the free # of butter $3.48 after q or $.60 a piece after subtracting $1.69(what I think is a fair price for butter). Cub has a Pillsbury cat deal for buying 4, 5 or 6 items get $1, $2 or $3 back, I don't know if the Grands are included or if Rainbow is doing this Cat but if they are it would make it $3.96 for 6 biscuits & 2 butter.


RedGold Tomatoes are on sale at Cub for $.69 w/the q from their q book, limit 6 making them $.36 or $.44 ea after the $1/3 or $1/4 q. Both Cubs I went to had tons of tomatoes.

The small Maxwell House are B1G1F at CVS!!. So I'm only half nuts. I think they were 3.89 ea.
