| CVS Newbie
Ok gals I have a question about the CVS deals. I need to get paper towels. I was going to get bounty b/c you can get the ecb's for them or was it a GC I can't remember if it's $20 worth. I have the $4 off $20 coupon. So can I combine bounty paper towels w/ pampers diapers or what else could I get w/ it. I wonder if I would just do better at target & get a GC there but then I won't have the $4 coupon. I am no good at CVS deals yet. I really don't need anything else right now....I really don't even need diapers but I don't want to buy $20 of bounty either. Maybe I could combine the tide w/ it too....we're getting low on laundry detergent. Is it any p&g product that will get you the ecb's Thanks |

I got 1 bounty, 2 tide free and clear (4.99 this week), 3 puffs, 2 dawn, and...I think that is it. With a $4/20, mfgr qs (p and g put out the brandsaver last week), and ecbs back, it was a great deal. My final cost of all that was $9 (I figured that out on my way home today). You could always do 1 bounty, 2 tides, and use the small value items like Dawn or Puffs (both 99 cents this week) to get you over the top. There was a 50 cent dawn coupon this week as well as a 50 cent tide coupon.

So do I need to buy at least $24 to use the $4 & receive the $5 ecbs.?

No, you need to spend only $20 to use the $4 off and receive the ECB. The ECB are based on precoupon. I used that $4 coupon on the same deal and got my $5 ecb with no problem.

Ok one more question....As long as the total before coupons equals $20 I'll get the $5 in ecbs...NJ I know you said you used the $4 off $20 can I use manu too & still get the ecbs? All for (i figure w/ coupons I'll only spend $12-13) so I'll still get ecbs? I'm sorry I am just very new to all the CVS deals. |

Yes, use coupons too and it will work out! I paid $1.88 oop on the order that I described above (mostly because I had a Pampers free Jumbo pack coupon that the cashier used to take off the REGULAR price not the sale price, which I did not notice until I got home). Don't forgot to make sure that your item # is equal to or higher than the number of coupons you use, including any CVS coupons or ECB. The register does not like it when the # of coupons exceeds the # of items. I threw in 2 sticky note pads that were on clearance for .09 to up my item count. Read the sticky in the CVS forum on Register Logic for more info on this if you haven't already. http://www.afullcup.com/upload/cvs/2...gic-101-a.html

Yes, you can use your $4/20 and mfgr q's and get the same ecbs...which is why I am now addicted to cvs. Watch out, you are next! NJMOM is right, if you have 5 items and a manufacturer coupon for each one, you need to pick up something cheap like a piece of candy or something that you DON'T have a coupon for so you can use your $4/20. Like she said you have to have at least one item for every coupon, and the $4/20s count toward your coupon total. Check the clearance if you need an extra item OR bogo coupons are great for that.

| yes, it IS addicting
It is very addicting. I find myself planning out deals well in advance. Today I did not do as well as I would have liked, but I got a $30 gift card to put the purchase on (2 extra gum 15-packs, jumbo pampers, pampers wipes, and a b'day card for $12 on the gift card). It is hard to resist buying things that I know I don't need. But, I really needed the pampers and the wipes.

It took me all day Sunday to work on my 'battle plan' for Monday's CVS trip, mostly because I was busy with the babies, but I wanted to get ECB to use on the next order and to do it all in the right way so that I paid as little as possible! It's fun!

My cvs has the pampers wipes for 7.99...That kind of negates the purpose of ecb since that is higher than anywhere I have ever seen. I am hoping they put those bad boys on sale and FAST. BTW- clean and go vs. swipers...what is the difference? I like thicker wipes. |

I have swipers but haven't had a chance to use them. I like the clean & go....I use these when we're not at home in place of a paper towel. But they don't seem to be much thicker to me than regular wipes. I think the swipers may be though.

Thanks Lindsay...if they put them on sale for real or I get $2 coupons I may buy some. I love huggies and target wipes, though. Still, if they put them on sale and I can use a $4/20 and some ecb from my tylenol deal, it might be worth it to suffer through a few bags.
