| Manu Coupons - when CAN you use with Target's?
Hello all! I am new here, and love this site! ![]() Question: Pretty much every manu coupon I come across says Limit one coupon per purchase. I am assuming that means I cannot use it in combination with another type of coupon. Is that correct? If so, where are you guys finding coupons you can use in conjunction with Target coupons? I ask this because, even the cashiers at Target (some of them) interpret the phrase on the Target coupon Limit one item or offer per coupon means only one coupon per item (which I know is not correct) - and Target Corporate doesn't clarify this to me when asking (I just get that general coupon policy email). Anyhoo - hoping some of you experienced ladies can help me out! Thanks! Lindsey |

Ang, I do understand the policy - it is understanding the coupons that I need help with. On manu coupons, it reads "Limit one coupon per purchase". Does that mean I cannot use a Target coupon with it? Thanks! |

" limit one coupon per purchase" means that you can't use 2 manu coupons on 1 item, Most stores that have 'store coupons' like Target will let you use 1 manu and 1 store coupon on the same item.

From what I understand, a Target coupon is an In-House coupon, (or special discount) that they put out on their merchandise you can print these at the store or go online, or use the Target Coupon Generator from this site. Along with that there are Manufacturers coupons that are from the Manufacturer they come in the inserts, or you find them on tear pads in the mail or from those blinkie machines, Target gets reimbursed for those from the manufacturer. Ive used one manufacturer coupon and one Target coupon together. This may be a Target only thing, most other Grocery stores don't do this. The intent of the "One coupon per purchase" to me means that you use ONE coupon on ONE item, not 3 of the same coupon on one item. You can purchase 5 of the item in the same transaction just have 5 coupons (if you have them) One on each item. If you have Target Coupons you can use 5 of them too ONE for each item. There are some cashiers that read that you can use only ONE coupon on ONE item during ONE transaction, which means you have to pay for your ONE item (minus the coupon), get back in line, use another coupon to purchase the next same item..and repeat. This seems to happen if you have a few of the same item with matching coupons. There are stores that limit how many of the same item you can buy during a single transaction with coupons. You still get to use the coupon but it's a pain... Still other cashiers think that you can only use ONE coupon for the Entire transaction even if you have different items and the coupons for them. This seems to be rare but it happens. The best way to find out is to Call the customer service line, see if they can put what they say in writing and have it with you if you think you may have to show it to a cashier or manager. It seems confusing at first but the more you use them the easier it gets!! HTH!! |

If the coupon said "limit one coupon per transaction", then you still could use a Target coupon with it. The catch is that you can use only one of those coupons per transaction. If you wanted to use more than one then you would have to seperate your orders.

Okay, that makes sense! I do get some cashiers that insist that the manu coupons can't be combined with Target's... I guess I will have to go up the chain if I need to. I appreciate all of your help ladies!
