I was using a bunch of coupons including the J&J softwash coupons that I have had no trouble with in the past. Today the cashier couldn't get them to scan, so she told me to complete and pay for my order and she would take care of it. Naturally I was a bit worried about this. I had forgotten to give her an Iams coupon so she took that one too. She then scanned my receipt (like they do for a return) and entered each coupon manually and then handed me $19 in cash (for 6 different coupons)! My new receipt says "Refund" at the top. What I learned is that if you forget to use a coupon and have already paid but discover it while still at the checkout, the cashier can take care of it for you (YMMV). I guess not all know how to do this, but it was definitely an eye-opener!

that happened to me once before too~~she forgot to scan my coupons and I didn't realize it until she had completed my transaction~~she said hang on a minute...scanned my receipt, scanned the coupons and gave me cash for the value of the coupons...kinda weird, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Literally means "Your mileage may vary" but is often used in forum talk meaning that your results will vary Internet shorthand used to represent 'your mileage may vary' meaning 'how far you will be able to go depends on (usually external) factors relating to yourself', such as locality. Often used in deal forums to indicate that the OP (original poster) was able to complete the deal but it is unlikely or uncertain that others will be able to do the same. Can also be used to represent 'your market may vary' which is more appropriate for internet deal forums and more easily translates to some, especially people foreign to the english language. Often used in internet forums to indicate the likelyhood of something happening is uncertain. |

The only drawback to them refunding the coupon amount of Target coupons is that you loose the tax. I've figured out that our Target takes the Target coupons off before tax while manufacturers coupons come off after tax. Still better than not getting the coupon at all though.

All Targets can do this. When there is a missed coupon after the sale, the cashier simply needs to scan the receipt and then use the missed coupon option that pops up. You should never have to go to the service desk for a missed coupon

All Targets can do a missed coupon after the sale but they can also manually do it during the sale but are usually told by AP if a coupon scans take it but if it doesnt do not take it

I was going to point out that if you discover it after the fact, you have 7 days to go to the customer service desk to have them use the missed coupon function.

This happened to me the other day. All target web coupons scanned except for tha nature valley bars. I kindly told him I bought the exact one in the picture but he had already hit total. He said I can take care of it, give me a second and her gave me $1.50 in cash. Very nice!

I was a GSTL at Target for quite a while. Not all cashiers have the ability to do this. If your cashier does not offer, or claims they do not know how to do it, anyone who works at the customer service counter has the ability to do it. Most regular cashiers cannot have access to the refund screens and that is where you need to get to to do it. But obviouly everyone who works at customer service has that ability!!!

That happened to me with my last baby book...when all of the coupons scanned wrong. She credited back to my CC....which was fine by me!
