I contacted Staples about an expired reward and their response was that they could not re-issue it or let me use it. Before I started doing the rewards program I asked about that specifically in the store and they said they never really expire and that if you contact Corp, they will re-issue it to extend the date. So maybe this is a change, but either way it stinks. I let one for $33 expire but I really wasn't that worried about it since they had told me it wouldn't matter. UGH!

The email response also said that Ink Rewards will only be $2 as of July 1st: "As of July 1, 2010, the Staples ink recycling Rewards program will change. In order to continue offering this free program, we've changed the program from $3 to $2 back in Rewards for any brand of ink or toner cartridge recycled at a Staples store. Premier Rewards customers will still be eligible to recycle up to 20 cartridges per calendar month."

It must be new policy from corporate. I think it was early May when I asked if I could use an expired $25 reward. The checkout asked and they gave it to me. It was about 6 weeks-ex.
