I did my first Target trip today. I'm going to try to tell you what I did as best I can.

6 Satin Care Shave Cream .97 = 5.82
6 Nivea Women 3.99 = 23.94
5 Nivea Men 3.99 = 19.95
6 Olay Bars .97 = 5.82
16 Gillette Body Wash 1.52 = 24.32


Coupons
6 Satin Care -.55 = -3.30
6 Nivea Women -4.00 = .04 overage
5 Nivea Men -3.00 = -15.00
6 Olay Bar -1.00 = .06 overage
5 BOGO Gillette Body Wash
5 Gillette Body Wash $4/2

and as I'm typing I just realized my mistake! I should have used 8 bogo gillette and 4 $4/2! (someone correct me?)

ANYWAY,
My grand total before tax was $79.97
after coupons was $4.07!! (should have been less!!)
Total oop with tax $9.67
Not bad for a first time. I am planning on doing this scenario again so now I know my mistake!



OH AND FYI!!!
I would just like to say that I had the BEST cashier I could have ever asked for! I put my stuff on the belt and the lady in front of me said "oh you must have coupons like that lady on TV who got $200 worth of stuff for like $1" HAHA. I told her kinda, but not quite. The guy then proceeded to help me explain to her how I was going to make this work to the best advantage Oh I will be sure to go to him again

Looks good! I just got back from a few hours ago from 'playing' at Target. It looks like you only bought the clearanced Gillette body wash. What I did was buy 2 clearanced Gillette body washes per $4/2 coupon. I bought the big non cleananced Gillette body wash to use with the BOGO Gillette coupon (this gets you the most bang for your coupon). This gave me 96c overage per 'set' of 3 Gillette body washes.

We all learn.. I've done it a bunch of times.. And you get better, and fewer mistakes each time... Alot of my mistakes, are taking 4 children (all girls) with me.. YAPPY GIRLIES at that.. ..

So please dumb this one down a little for me....You used the $4/2 for clearance gillette. Then, for BOGO you got 2 big nonclearanced? is that right? they were $3.54 I think. I know that makes the "GO" part more but the "BO" part would also be more? Sorry, like I said...first time couponing at Target. Actually, first super good deal Thanks so much!!

If for instance I only purchased one set at a time, it would be as follows.

2 Clearanced Gillette body washes at a price of $1.52 each = $3.04
1 big Non clearanced Gillette body wash at a price of 3.54
Total before coupons equaled $6.58
6.58-$4/2q=$2.58-BOGOq(3.54)= negative $0.96

This of course assumes your cashier 'overrides' the $4/2 coupon which will beep. The cashier overrides by pressing K1 on the register terminal. They could 'adjust' the coupon down to keep you from getting overage by pressing K4 on the register terminal and adjusting the coupons value.

I wish I could take credit for figuring out you could get a big bottle with the BOGOq. I am pretty sure it was a thread here at AFC where I read it. I hope that helps. It can be confusing at first. My sister is big into couponing. I just started couponing a few weeks ago. I would still be lost if it wasn't for the help my sister has given me.

So couldn't you do 2 big ones with bogo? you are paying for the 2 small ones so can't you do one bogo per item purchased?

So I have to add this. My sister did a GREAT job yesterday helping me with this trip. Today, she went to her classes (she is in college) and was told by a classmate who works for Target that what we did was coupon fraud and that they were going to "start a file on me" I told my sister not to worry about it and we did nothing wrong. So I may have just lost my helper due to an untrained cashier

After getting some sleep... I now see that I did not miss out on any body wash. I used ALL my coupons. :o) I think people were recommending a set of 3 body washes only because that matched up with the 2 coupons that were in each insert.

We did not commit coupon fraud. Target's bottom line benefits. They will be fully reimbursed for the coupons.

Someone replied to the other thread confirming that 4 body washes could have been purchased in one transaction using 1 $4/2q and 2 BOGOq.
