Am I the only one having trouble getting the Gerber coupons to scan? They ended up having to enter them in by number and she was NOT to pleased, but did it anyway. The other coupons scan fine, I just can't get a Gerber one to scan or we would use that one and put the "duds" in the register. She went through them all trying to get a scannable one. Would it be that I need now ink or maybe different paper so the lines come out crisper ? HELP !! I need that food for a grand-youngin !

Knowing that they say it is illegal to "photocopy" coupons - and I asked General Mills how they would know. She said, "We can tell." Oh well...... Anyway, when I print a coupon I try to make certain I am getting the highest quality my printer can give so that it doesn't look "photocopied." Now how "they" can "tell" is actually beyond me, but perhaps this is part of it.

Yeah that happened to me this afternoon. I had Gerber 10 coupons, the first 4 scanned fine, then the other 6 she had to key in $1.00 off. Not sure why? I printed them all at the same time.

I have actually been printing my coupons "fast draft" in grayscale, so in otherwords the quickest lowest res possible and I have yet to have a problem with them.

There's no way to distinguish between a normal quality print or photocopy of a printable coupon especially since All In One printer copiers exist.

To change your printer quality etc settings follow your instruction manual. It will differ by printer and/or by PC depending on your own individual configuration.

Printer icon on your desktop? Right click & look for Properties or Settings.

Otherwise look at Start/Programs or Start/Settings for Printer(s). Select the printer you want & look for Properties or Settings.

You might also want to then find in there an option in most printer software that allows you to confirm after clicking Print. That should allow you to then adjust settings each time to fit the situation & best conserve ink.

I never thought of the fast draft. I'm going to start doing that too. Will save alot of expensive ink!
