I just did this deal tonight - got 2 for $1 each after rebate! I also picked up the photo paper for 9.99 (with an 8.99 rebate)...already submitted for the rebates and everything was approved, woo hoo!

Can't you use it on paper and other things that are giving more rebates?? Unless of course you don't want to roll your money like that!

I never mail in Staples rebates - I always enter them online. They may take a while (they all seem to) but I never have problems with them. And they are less hassle. I always scan a copy of any mail in rebate I do - and it takes a while to scan, save, etc. Entering it online, I can just print the info to a PDF. And I'm able to reference it from just about anywhere - the MIRs, I can only look at when I'm home.

Too bad I missed this paper deal when I was in Staples earlier this week for a quick used cartridge drop off.

DH just started doing the Staples deals a few months ago and it has really paid off. It's his version of CVS shopping. :-) He's always saying "I can't believe we used to pay full price for paper!" just like I've been saying about HBA and groceries for a year or so now. He's going to be upset he missed this week's paper deal. We didn't get the ad.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a $29 credit from Staples to use. And I managed to find a Free After Rebate item that will allow me to get the item AND get the money back. It was the printing calculator. 19.99. Limit 2. I was able to get two, entered my rebate online and requested a check. I doubt I will use the printing feature (bet the paper for these things is ridiculously expensive) but that can be turned off and it can be used as a regular calculator. Battery operated or plugged in (plug included).

I'd suggest checking all the deals for each week until you get close to the expiration date. If it gets close to the expiration and you haven't been able to find FAR deals, then I would consider things you need. For me, that would likely be print cartridges (which will give me more credits, I think it's usually 10% credit of what I pay - not free, but better than nothing - especially when you can get a deal on it). I hear they accept MQs - never tried it but I hear some people use their credits to buy toilet paper, even using MQs to get more for their money. They have a lot of things you might not think they would have as they have things people might use in a office.

Almost all of Staples SER are available to be done ON-LINE as well as by mail.

Your $26.00 sounds like a battery reward. Those did take awhile to get hear because rewards are done different then rebates. Rebates go out in a few weeks, rewards are processed in the month after they earned.

Since the total can be used in store over more than one purchase (not like ECB's or RR's) you can pick up things over a trip or two and use it up.
I am using my $223+ towards a new computer for hubby.

When I asked in my store last year about the rewards program they told me that if I had rewards expire, I should call and have them reset. He said they never realyy expire. I haven't tested that yet, but it's worth asking at your store.
