Hi, "y'all"-- We just got home from church about an hour ago; and after putting kids to bed, I thought that I would check in to see your info. I didn't go to HT yet this week--probably will go early Friday AM. Here in Loudoun County this week, schools (public and private) are delayed for an hour or two because of snow weather, etc. Probably will go around 9 or 10 am this week while kids in school. Anyway, today I stopped in at the new Fairfax, VA HT store and wrote 2 pages of products with regular and sales prices, when the sale ends, etc. I worked on the laundry and dish detergent items today. I will post on a separate thread by noon tomorrow (hopefully but definitely before the weekend) my findings. I also picked up a flyer for the Pharmacy VIC Card $20 credit with info which I will post under the "Grand Opening..." thread with details. I will try to report my info on products and sales prices and when it ends. Have fun. Foodie Last edited by foodie; 02-17-2010 at 07:56 PM. |

| After the last event I swore I wasn't going to use any of the Jello coupons again. I wasn't thinking today and used one as a substitute when I couldn't get any guacamole. They override it to accept it, but won't allow it to double. Grrr. At least all of the cashiers at my store are well aware of the Jello q problem and always just look at it and laugh and say "oh, this one again - never works!" and have been great about it.

If you still have the Sunday edition of the Washington Post, there is a Safeway $/$$ coupon on page A10 (double check the page number but it was on the lefthand side of paper). If you cannot find it, PM or post here, and I will post info. Check the Safeway forum, someone posted the same $/$$ coupon was in the Baltimore Sun. See posted threads for details. Hope this helps. foodie, i shop in reston and herndon. do those stores take those $/$$ off coupons ok? i asked once about walgreens RR's and they acted like i was from pluto... also, for example, if the coupon is $5/$20, does your total need to be $20 after coupons? thanks!

I have never done the "deals" at Herndon. Reston it depends on who you get. I tend to shop the new stores when they have their Grand Openings. However, my main store is Warrenton. It is about 30 minutes from our house; but I make the rounds and it easier for the coupons and $/$$. If you wish, I can PM you info. Try the HT stores late at night for regular sales (not SD(s) or Triples). Sometimes I go to Gainesville, Bristow, and Loudoun County stores. The S. Riding store was ok when I did the prescription credit deals. After that expired, I moved on to other new stores. My kids have a monthly prescription for allergies and we use mail order for insurance purposes too. I stagger the Rx(s). I wasn't too impressed with the Fairfax store either. No Starbucks--I usually don't do coffee just iced tea or hot tea. Oh well!! ![]() Foodie |

Foodie - be warned, they rearranged all the management at all the local stores last week! Warrenton is "my" store, 3 minutes from home, and they have all new management. I HOPE they stay as coupon friendly as they've been. I was at Bristow today and saw the one unfriendly manager from Warrenton had moved there. Ashburn got one of our managers, as did Fairfax, from what I understand. Today I did a trip with my card and my mom's card,, at two different stores: #1: 3 lysol wipes BOGO - $1/1 = FREE 9 dole pineapple 3/$2 - $1/3 = FREE 3 tidy cat 7lb after $1/1 = .82 for 3 6 kotex liners 1.49 - $1.50/2 = FREE 3 johnson&johnson baby bar 1.99 - $1/1 = FREE (this is a price drop from the last SD) 2 reach floss 1.79 - $1/1 = FREE 2 mission tortillas 1.99 - 1/1 = FREE (Q said DND, and cashier pulled it aside, but when they scanned it, it doubled, as I knew it would, since it started with a 5) marked down bananas 17 seventh generation dishpacks marked down to .94 - used $1/1 Qs on all OOP = 1.73 Q savings = 118.68 #2: 4 hershey dark bars $2 ea - $1/1 = FREE 6 dole pineapple $2/3 - $1/3 = FREE 2 cheese nips BOGO $2.39 - $1/1 = .39 for 2 6 kotex liners $1.49 - $1.50/2 = FREE 3 J&J baby bars $1.99 - $1/1 = FREE 2 reynolds foil 50 ft heavy duty $2.19 - $1/1 = .19 ea 2 stoneyfield 32 oz yogurt $2.99 - $1/1 = .99 ea (Q was in a dispenser just above the yogurt and started with a 5!!!) 2 LOL butter with olive oil BOGO 1.99 - can't remember Q value, but it was FREE 2 Trident layers gum marked down to .77 - used .75 q (not doubled) = .02 ea OOP = 1.83 Q savings = 52.63 A good day! But the shelves at the second store were picked clean of most of the freebies already. I requested they order a bunch of stuff, hopefully they did! |

Cathy is the Store Manager at Warrenton, VA store when I shopped there recently (about 2 to 3 weeks ago). She was real good. One of the Co-Managers, Ed, was one of the best managers. Is he still at Warrenton? Foodie P. S. I know that they rotate managers when they open new stores from what I was told by a manager recently. I try to find out where they go, etc. |
