Just got back from Wags to use up some RR and theraflu coupons. and They are on Mega Saver for next month starting today Dec 26th. They are $3.99 ea. So that means if you get the regular kind (not sugar free) it's at least a $2.02MM with $2 HSB and $1.5 MQ $3.99 x 2 = $7.98 Minus $4.00 HSB IVC $3.00/2 MQ Equals $0.98 OOP Get back $3.00 RR --> $2.02MM OR $3.99 x 2 = $7.98 Minus $4.00 HSB IVC $2.00/1 x 2 IP MQ Equals $-0.02 OOP Need a filler for overage (Coupon may beep also, haven't tried this) Get back $3.00 RR --> $3.02MM for the sugar free boxes: $3.99 x 2 = $7.98 Minus $3.00/2 MQ $4.00 HSB IVC $4.00 D&Y IVC Equals $-3.02 OOP (need some serious filler(s)) Get back $3.00 RR --> $6.02MM or $3.99 x 2 = $7.98 Minus $2.00/1 x 2 IP MQ $4.00 HSB IVC $4.00 D&Y IVC Equals $-4.02 OOP (need some serious fillers) Get back $3.00 RR --> $7.02MM Get out there while you can. I am going back out now to a 24hr store. HTH - hope you all have a Merry Christmas! Thanks AFC for making mine much less expensive this year. Last edited by wluck; 12-26-2009 at 07:17 PM. |

That is what I am wondering. Why is it only today? Is it maybe because today is the last day the rr will print?

Sorry The $3RR WYB 2 Theraflu ends today 12/26. I just looking at the 12/27 thru 1/30 RR monthly deals and noticed that there is a theraflu deal where you buy 1 theraflu and Lipton product and you get a $4RR. Wonder if the RR start printing tonight for that one. Might have to try it out when I go back tonight Lipton should be $4 or less so it may add to the MM. Wish me luck. |

I just went down and gave the Healthy Sav. q first, and it beeped repeatedly. It doesn't say sugar free on that one, and they wouldn't take it. Rats. Went ahead w/diab. and the ip and that worked smooth, but didn't get the 7. The RR for 3 did print btw so still mm, but not 7.

I asked the cashier if they usually put up the sale prices in early for the next week and she said sometimes. but usually not. I didn't know that the 24 hr stores put them in later, so I hope no one made a wasted trip to a 24hr store and had to pay $5 instead of $3.99. |

I don't think it's just 24hr stores.... mine wasn't one, it closes at 10PM, and they never switches on the new pricing until the actual day of the new sale. So this is a big YMMV. Still, I bought some tonight bc my most treasured/used 5/20 q expires today. (I'm so gonna miss it!!) And the $10/2 Theraflu counted towards the total. My store posted/allowed both HSA, and D&Y qs. So w/ the qs I was getting $7 overage everytime! I've been getting a lot of goodies. Thank you, tytyty, Walgreens! |

My wags is a 24 hr store. I went in earlier this evening, and the Theraflu rang up 2/$10.00. I used 2 $2 mfr q's, and the HSA q's. The HSA q beeped, cashier called (I had pencils for fillers, not sure if I needed them as I am still working on the whole filler thing), manager over to modify the price, after sounding rather disgusted that he had to do it 'again' with the q's. Anyway, I did receive the $3 RR, so no problems. I think I'm done with the Theraflu deal for awhile. The manager asked me, very sarcastically, 'so what, you have like 40 bottles now?! I see you in ALL the TIME buying Theraflu.' I couldn't believe he was asking this! I told him "no, more like 6 bottles... and with four kids, I can definitely use them". DH was there to hear, and he couldn't believe it either. I just don't get why it's any of their concern, to say stuff like that, what a customer buys, kwim. |

i may be mistaken but i certainly would think the managers would want folks buying anything they sell these days... seeing how many folks are out of work, one would think a sale is a sale as long as you're not wiping off the shelves and even if you did, that sarcastic remark was uncalled for~

I was thinking about this today and wonder if the manager had me confused with someone else? I am there quite a bit (5 yr shopper at this same wags, the last 2 months with coupons thanks to this site!), but to look around at other deals and I'm certainly not a 'shelf cleaner' when it comes to RR deals. I have 10 $3 Triaminic q's to use between now and the 31st, wonder if the same manager will be there tonight when I go in to pick up two of the thin strips |

See, that's just not right at all! As long as we are following the 'coupon rules' and buying everything by the book, why is it of any concern to them, what we buy or what RR we get back when it's their system that is set up that way? I haven't contacted corporate about the manager. There is another manager there who is not 'coupon friendly', but the others are all super nice and helpful. Suppose I can write a combined letter, stating the two negative ones but then something postive about the others? : ) |

It's really none of their B! What then if someone comes in every day to buy a pack of ciggies, or a 6pk beer, or a gallon of milk, or a pair of panty hose, a pk of batteries, a lipstick or just about anything in the store, they will make the same comment? ", 'so what, you have like 40 xxxx now?! I see you in ALL the TIME buying xxxx.' How ridiculous that'd sound even just to think about it?!

Exactly. Just crazy that he would question the purchase... and I was only buying TWO Theraflus at the time to boot. It must have been the RR's he was getting uptight about. Not sure why though, when it just guarentees us spending more money in his store. We haven't tried the Theraflu yet. DH said that since we have a small stockpile of Theraflu and Triaminic now, no one will get sick. I told him that was good ! With six of us in the house, I would rather not have anyone sick ![]() Hope your little guy gets to feeling better!! |
