I really think you are right. The new CEO made his idea's known to the public when they did that story in the Strib. What I got from the article is that his thinks the general shopping pubic is stupid and they can't figure out prices, and sure as hell can't figure out how to use a CAT to get money back. I guess he will think we are all stupid when we start shopping at Rainbow, or Walmart. I see prices going up, and while they are not offering the same deals. I loved Holiday Bucks last year. They had my business every week. This year I have no reason to only shop at Cub. What a joke it has become for the past 4/5 weeks.

Totally agree. I'm no idiot when it comes to saving money. I called in on that article as I found it offensive. I was told I'd get a call back within 48 hours. Hmmmm.... weeks later and no call. No response to email either. I have pretty much turned all my efforts to Rainbow. I feel that they appreciate my business. Fuel perks, money back, cats that are clearly advertised, and double Wednesdays. I'll still grab the almost frees at Cub but that's it.

Does anyone have a link to the on-line article? I'd like to read it. I've been out of commission the last month as my dad died right before Thanksgiving and I was in Illinois a lot trying to take care of him at the end and taking care of my frail mom as well.

Thanks for that! I can pretty easily figure out wha 3/$5 is. I do think this is not going to be good for Cub - for any consumer, not just us. I doubt if people will shop there. I never shopped there before I did couponing because I thought it was too expensive. But when I started seeing all the good deals, I started going. Now if they're not going to offer them - I will go to Rainbow and SuperTarget. It's a bit further for me - but only a few miles.

I think this guy is an idiot. I wish he'd ask me a thing or two when he's out and about. If you can't figure out the item price on a 3/5 deal theres a problem. This s not rocket science. Just takes a little time and practice as does anything worth doing well. And if were all such stupid women as he basically said how can we figure out how to use Wags rr's and get a prime rib for .63 like I did on Sunday. Thier prices are climbing and the deals are declining. Man I wish I were closer to Rainbow as SW is my only other option where I'm at.

I feel that pain. When I lived in the Cities back 6+ years ago I never shopped at Rainbow. Now I am begging for one up in my area! My how the tables have turned....
