Desperately need some catalina deals. I am loaded with expireds that I don't want to toss, and we have little money. I will have to see about picking up the soup though. But not sure I will make it down there just for that.

The ham is usually VERY expensive...it is $3.98 a lb so a 10 lb ham would be $40! I think they usually sell them in larger amounts --I just remember it was some $$$. The Buddig is a good deal!!! and the Cub boneless skinless chicken breasts--only $1.33 a lb...that is a good deal. Best I've ever seen is .99 cents a lb a few weeks ago--so pretty close. Although--Coborn's has an in store Q for $10 off your Gold'n Plump purchase--if you use with Manu Q's--that could be good...depends since in the past they raise the price of this chicken pretty high to accommodate the Q! So... But I also saw that the Birdseye steamfresh MEALs are on sale for $6.99--there are BOGO's for this that exp 11-28-09 I believe and $1.50 off one in this weeks SS & on Coupons.com--so if you can use both Q's--the Bogo's and the $1.50 off the one you buy then these meals are only about $2.75 each! Walmart price--can't use the Bogo's since they are expired is usually $4.98-$1.50=$3.48. back page LOOKS like a CAT deal huh?!

What the heck is up with Cub?? Back page looked like a cat deal last week too. Anybody get it to work? It's confirmed working at shaws. And the smucker/hungry jack/pillsbury one that was supposed to be advertised at cub a couple weeks back and was hit or miss for me is now going on at Rainbow. I know we are going to have some changes with the new CEO but I have to say that for the past couple weeks I only go grab the dirt cheap items at Cub and focus my shopping on Wednesday at Rainbow. I sure hope that Cub gets back on track!

Ugh, I'm going to put it bluntly and just say that this sucks! This is about a month now with crappy sales? I think butter is about the only thing in my fridge right now. I guess I'm going to have to give in and spend more money than I would like to spend on food. Ugh!

Me too - most of my money will be spent at the SuperTarget this week. They need to open a Rainbow up in this neck of the woods!

If you still have the buy 7up A&W Sunkist 20oz / get 2ltr free tear pads left, they would be 50cents each. If you have any powerade coupons, they are 69cents for limit of 10. I have buy 10 get 5 free hang tags, and 75/2 tear pads so will be 21cents each. I thought the ice mountain 8pks 10/$10 was a good deal. Makes them about 13cents each. There are coupons from inserts and printables. Then I have buy keebler cookies, save on milk, progresso, emerald nuts, chef michaels and purina cat treats on my list. I'm hoping to hit cub at least a few times this week, and will be going to the cities on saturday, so will have to hit it on the way there and back. DH will be with so can have him do a few trans for me, and my DS14 can do a few too. LOL Lynda |

For the first week in over 9 months we hit both Cub and Rainbow to take advantage of the deals. The soup at Cub was a great deal, along with a few other things. We hit Rainbow because their baking stuff was a way better deal. It's really hit or miss on the prices at Cub vs. Rainbow. I think Rainbow's produce is FAR better then Cub's, and Rainbow also has the nice "do it yourself" spice section which puts Cub to shame. I am surprised I am saying this...but unless Cub pulls themselves back fast, I will be shopping at Rainbow on Wednesday for double coupons & the deals. They have CATS, and offer offer cash back on purchases. Cub? No CATS, no Holiday Bucks this year, no gas incentives.....not looking good for them to get my business anymore. |
