| Colgate Total Advance - Free After ECB?
I was in one of the local CVS stores today, doing my deals on the Listerine, Crest, Oral B and Softsoap when I noticed in the Crest/Listerine endcap display on the bottom shelf was Colgate Total Advance Clean (I think that's what it was). The display was for the 4.2 oz size, and stated the price was with card $2.99 with a $2.99 ECB. I haven't seen this posted elsewhere, I don't know what the limit is or how long it will last. I didn't buy any because I have a total of 15 things of Crest now and I had my list all made out for that trip and something else would have thrown off my calculations. So: Colgate Total Advance Clean (4.2oz) $2.99 w/ card - Free after ECB Limit unknown I'll try to buy one tomorrow on my way back home and see what happens and report back. If anyone else knows, please post! James

I saw the same display in my store last Thursday when I was looking for filler to use a $10 off $50.... I almost bought as well..... Read the fine print on the display itself. It appears that this was a March monthly deal & was no longer valid. Since I've already got more toothpaste than I can reasonably use, I wasn't going to try it based on the display dates since I didn't figure I'd get the ECB for it. Check the display closely before you buy! |

If it is an old display (more than a month old??), it brings up an interesting question. I'll go back and look at the display, but what would they do if I bought some expecting an ECB back, and I didn't get one? Would they refund my money? Would they give me the ECB anyway? Hrmm..

You can always return it if you don't get the ECB. I'm pretty sure you won't based on what I saw or I would have bought it myself since I had a coupon & it would have been a moneymaker w/ECB. I don't believe they'll give you the ECB for it as that should have to come through corporate if it doesn't print out at the register. At least now there is no 2 day waiting period........... The only cost to try is your own time & harrassment if it doesn't work out. Let us know if it works for you. |
