I was doing the buy 10 get $10 deal and happened to purchase 2 post cereals (Honeycomb and one of the select ones) and I got a catalina that stated if I purchased any of the select Post cereal in my next purchase I would receive a catalina for up to $4 off (if you purchased 2 - $1.50, 3-$3, 4-$4).

Combine that with the buy 10 get $10 off deal, and use 2 coupons for $1 off any 2 post cereals and you get 4 post select cereals for completely free.
4 cereals @ $2.50 each = 10 - $4 ($1 per box when you buy 10 items) - $4 catalina coupon - 2 $1 coupons when you buy = free!

The Post coupons can be printed off the Safeway website for their coupon link. One word of warning, my printed coupons beeped and required an overide, then they tried to tell me they didn't accept internet coupons, but I fought and said I printed them off the safeway website and they even have the safeway logo on them so they had to take them and they did.

so, you would have to buy 4 first at full price, minus any coupons to get the catalina, then turn around and buy 4 more plus 6 other participating items?

You would be paying $2.50 per box minus the coupons that you have. Plus the Buy 10 get $10 would save you another $1 per box.

So if one box cost $2.50 - the $1 GM promo = $1.50 - .50 coupon = $1 and if you buy 4 boxes then you will get a $4 catalina. So the cereal would be free.

Of course you have to buy 6 other products to complete the $10 off 10 deal.

Make sense?

So just include the 4 boxes in the $10 off 10 deal. You don't have to buy them separate first.

Is the $4 Cat an OYNO good on anything, or is it a Cat coupon for up to $4 Off next purchase on the Post cereals? Does the $4 Cat say something like 'thank you from Post...' & state the Cat effective dates?

It might not be universal to all Safeway & affiliated company regions.

The Post Kid's Cereals were $2.00 each (before coupons) last week. They qualified towards the $10 Rally OYNO Cat but did not yield any add'l Cat (WED & FR last week). This week they're not in my ad so prices will vary by location too.

I didn't do the deal - but my F-I-L happened to have the Post Catalina with him today - it appears as though it is triggered by buying Post Select cereals - and in the $10 on 10 catalina deal the Post Select Cereals are not part of the deal that I can tell - so I don't know if they will work in conjunction. Has anyone tried it and been successful?

Then based on your reply, at max this yields $4 off 4 Post Select & doesn't equal a good deal since there's no hot price.
