Thanks for the tip. Kashi GoLean Crunch cereal makes a great healthy snack mix if you mix some almonds or other natural nuts in. It's good right out of the box but the inner bag needs to be closed up with a clip to keep the cereal fresh.

It's too bad all of Kellogg's brands aren't healthy Or that they market their candy/cereals to kids on TV.

The Kashi and Post cereals are 2/$5.00. (Includes Honey Bunches of Oats) There's a printable coupon for $2.00 off one box of H.B.O. So that makes them .50 each!

I got a sample of Kashi in the mail recently it had a coupon for $2.00 off one box. So I plan to get one of each.

Limit is 4 so you could get 4/$2.00.

UPDATE: the coupon is off of the Pecan Clusters. It worked for me once, but another time the cashier wouldn't take it. I couldn't find Pecan Clusters.

i live near Detroit, and our Wags flyer was only 8 pages today! I checked out the flyer in California, and it was 16 pages, i believe. We hardly have any deals here, compared to you guys. Actually, our flyer is always substantially smaller than what all you guys get, apparently. For instance, we didn't get the Pert deal several weeks ago, and we didn't get the Sure deo coupon. And often, the item will be on sale, but there won't be RR with it. For instance, today Almay is in our flyer BOGO 50% off, but there are no RR. There are so many other examples where you guys talk about the great deals, and they just aren't listed in the Detroit area Wags. I wonder why the state with the worst unemployment has fewer sales? Anyway, hope you all enjoy your deals! I enjoy the posts, and thanks for all your information. May you all have a Happy Thanksgiving soon!

Soup question....

First off, I see no in ad coupon for the 2 for $1 soup. I do see it advertised as $.50 each but it reads Tomato and Chicken Noodle. The coupon that was linked is for cooking soups. What gives?

Question multiple deals/coupons?

Thanks for the ideas....how do you keep doing this deal? Do you have to get new WAGS coupons every time? I'm thinking this could be an issue getting my hands on multiple copies of that Diabetes and You and HSB booklets?
thanks alot

NO, you don't need multiple coupons. Best strategy is NOT to take the coupon out of the booklet. The cashiers don't need it to reconcile their register. They can scan the coupon while it's still in the booklet, then you tuck the booklet back in your purse.

Tomato soup is considered a cooking soup. Sorry about putting there is an in ad q. I didn't look at the ad when I did it. Will change it now!

There are some .40/4 insert q's from a while back those might still be good. Atleast you would get a little bit off the price.

Because Walgreens focus is to sell the most goods to the most people with money to spend. There is nothing altruistic about the "deals" in the sense that the company wants to help people. And they partner with Asian countries for cheap toys etc..without the slightest regard for American workers. But thanks for researching the difference between the state flyers. That is really something to think about.

It is the same here in NM. One of the poorest states in the country, and we get the dinky 8-page flier, no K-mart super doubles, few chain stores can be bothered to establish themselves here, etc. In addition to being a poor state, it is also one of the largest one and at the same time it has a very low population. Not something chain stores flock to offer deals to. That's why I am happy that the Catalina deals are national even if the sales are not.

One way to get retailers to locate in rural areas is for your local town economic development group to offer long term tax breaks as an incentive. So perhaps you could join a board, establish one if none exist, testify during meetings, get petition drives going etc..
Rural residents should be pro-active politically with regard to attracting retailers so there is healthy competition (and jobs.)

They actually have a lot of tax incentives for businesses here, but there are just too few people in the area (40 000 in town, another 60 000 within 1.5 hours) and some businesses come here but others just take the tax incentives and "go bankrupt" in a year or two... But we do have a Walgreens, a Wal-Mart and a K-mart so we are better off than most.

And now, back to our scheduled programming...

Even if you already ripped it out just ask for it back and tell the cashier you might want to use it again. That's what I did at first now I just tear out the page and fold it to the coupon I want.

This rookie did the same...my first (Nov.) coupon book & I ripped HE one out. Does this mean if you need 2 of the Almay one coats, the cashier can scan one coupon in twice to get the 2x$4 off ?

In the walgreens ad there is a .99 coupon for a 10.3oz bottle of dawn and the .25 cent off coupon from the paper that expires 11/30 can be used together to make the bottle of dawn .74.
Not sure if .74 is a good deal on 10.3 oz though. Thoughts?
