In the Sears BF ad it says you can shop on line Thursday at Sears.com. I wonder if you will be able to get the option to pick up at a store.

These aren't very good prices. One of the treadmills is on sale now for $20 cheaper than what it says for BF. How is that a good deal? I hope Sears has some better stuff.

Ok-- needless to say I am pretty upset about this and glad I found out before I made my DH wait in like for a set of the Kenmore Washer & Dryer Sears is advertising.

I went into Sears last weekend to look at the set to make sure it is the one DH & I want. I talked to a sales lady & she said each store would have four sets in stock. No biggie-- we'll get there early. Then she said they are doing something different this year......They are giving out tickets to everyone in line that wants the doorbusters. They are then going to have a raffle and which four tickets get called are the ones that will get the washer/dryer.

Now I was so dumbfounded I didn't think to ask her if this was for all the doorbusters or just applicances or....? I just want my fellow AFC friends aware of this because I would be raging on BF if I went to sears early to get a doorbuster & the person who came right before they opened got one because of a raffle.....Let me know if any other stores are doing this if you can find out? If this is how everyone does BF-- it's not going to be very much fun anymore-- just the luck of the draw. I like the way Best Buy does it so there isn't a stamped. HTH

I read somewhere that they are doing the ticket thing at Target too but I'm not sure if it's a "raffle" or what. I think stores are trying to avoid the 'trampling to death' senario that occurred last year @ Walmart. Esp. the stores that aren't staying open all night the night before. I hear you loud and clear and know that would be extremely frustrating to wait for nothing. Do remember that Sears does online sales too and you may be able to order yours inexpensively on Cyber Monday and be able to "pick up" locally and avoid any shipping fees. Good luck hun!!!!

Last year our TRU went down the line in order and gave out tickets for the items they had in limited quantity. I like this system and I hope they do it again this year.

That is the system that I think works the best also! Rewards the people who have been waiting!

OMG! Are you serious a raffle? How do they think that is fair? It is first come first serve! They should had out the tickets to the first people in line untill they run out! I sure hope they aren't serious are they will really have a riot on there hands! thats just crazy! Sears isn't a store i really shop at. I might stop in ther on BF after I have done most my shopping but this is crazy!

Here in Michigan we have a place called ABC Warehouse and they usually have a great BF ad plus they don't open until 7am so you can go to other stores before that. Anyway, for the last 3 years, they've made up slips for the number of products they have then gone to the first person in line and went through the big ticket door busters and handed out slips for them. If you didn't have a slip, you didn't get the product.

I remember my first attempt at Black Friday. I was about 8 months preggo. Yes I know crazy, but I really wanted a digital camera as we didn't have one and wanted one for the baby pics and all as my family is in Colorado. Anyway I went to Best buy and waited and waited. Then finally got in and went straight to the cameras and found out I had to have a ticket. I ended up getting the last one at Walmart thank goodness.

Since then I have gone to BF and waited in line for what ever I needed and I have gotten lucky as I haven't been wanting big ticket items. Last year was the IPOD, but I ran straight to the area and made sure I got what I needed!

This year I will go as I enjoy it, but nothing that I will be upset about if I don't get!

Good luck to all those that are getting the big ticket items and hope that they reward those that have been waiting longest and not a raffle. that is silly

Will Sears price adjust? If you bought the set early and then go back on Friday when it is on sale, will they give you the difference?

I'm not sure if they will since it is a doorbuster. But it never hurts to ask!

Wal Mart is doing a ticket system this year. The items that will be on sale for Black Friday prices will not be put out until after 8:00 p.m. Thanksgiving night and will not be available for purchase until 5 a.m. This way people cannot buy them on monday and price adjust on friday (sad I know). She said the upc codes are completely different. She also said they will limit each big ticket item to ONE per person and they will start handing tickets out at 5 a.m. and go down the line until they run out. Each line is different so if you want two big ticket items, you are out of luck. After you get your ticket you can continue shopping or check out with just your ticket. After you buy your item, you will drive around to the back of the store and pick it up there using your receipt. This may be a YMMV situation but it sounds like a pretty good system to me!

I have not heard anything about this walmart deal. 2 of my friends work for walmart and they have heard nothing either. And honestly i dont consider that a good deal at all especially since our stores are 24 hours but whatever works. I dont think its right to limit someone to one ticket item. But thats just me. I dont want a big ticket item anyways i dont even know if there is anything i want at walmart usually just get some clothes for cheap and dvds. But we have 4 people with us. One waits at one spot, one at another, one gets in line and one has the car ready to go LOL we have a system
