Tonight I did the Gillette deal. Bought 3 of the body washes 4.99 (using 3 $1 Q) and wasn't sure if I would get the deal or not since the deal was Spend $15 and I had only spent $14.97. In the past, my CVS has force printed ECBs in this type of situation (they are very nice). I thought if it didn't print, I would go back and buy the 99 cent Gillette shave cream. Well, it printed! And what's more, my receipt shows I spent 14.97 towards that deal and need to spend .03 more to get it - limit 1. So - what's going on? If I spend another .03, will I get another $5? Why did it print if it didn't show as me getting the deal? I did this in one transaction so there should not be an issue with their system adding anything up. |

Sometimes CVS is kind enough to program their system to print the ECBs when the purchases are a few pennies short of reaching the required purchase amount. They'll do that when many of the products in the ECB have prices that end in $.99 and make reaching that required $ limited difficult without buying an additional item to push the total way over the required amount. I'm a little surprised that they did it with the Gillette deal since there are items priced that add up to a total of just over $15. You will not receive another $5 ECB if you buy a $.99 shave cream. You've reached your limit for the deal and your ECB has printed. ![]() Last week they did ths same thing with the Dove deal so the ECB printed at $19.96 instead of the required $20 (The Dove shampoo/conditioner was priced at $4.99 ea and would have required an additional purchase of an item to go over the $20 mark...) CVS doesn't always do this -- it's a really nice bonus when they do. |
