I set out on the 30 mile drive to one of my not-so-local Rite Aids to do 3 transaction w/ the goal of getting things I need and using my Fall Savings gift certificate. Transaction #1 was all messed up because I had added incorrectly when planning it out. So, I had to do some quick math and adjust... which never works so well for me while i'm in the store! I ended up combining the 2nd & 3rd transaction I had planned and probably didn't do as well as I could have. BUT, I used my gc, had a low OOP (though not low enough!) and got a lot of things I needed to fill voids in my new stockpile. Here is how I did:

4 Ziplocs @ $1.99 each = $7.96 (needed)

but is more like $71.66 + $1 Kotex, $2 Sudafed, $5 J&J rebate (almost $14 total, will likely buy more to get it up to $25 for a $10 rebate)

So... if anyone has any ideas how I can add $11 on my J&J rebate for as close to $0 as possible, I'd love to hear them!

The Venus set rang up wrong and it was the first I placed on the counter so I was busying unloading and not paying attention. I will take my receipt back for the $3.30 credit. The cashier let me use 2 $5/$25 coupons if my product total was over $50, so I added this on just to get the total up. I think it was clearanced because the box was all smooshed, but I figured I could take everything out and put it all together in a little basket, maybe for my brother’s girlfriend for Christmas. It has: 1 Venus Embrace razor, 2 refill cartridges, 1 Satin Care shave gel (looks like a travel size), 1 Olay body lotion (also travel size), 1 shower pod (???), and a travel case.


Whew! Thank God I have a vacation coming up.. this is exhausting! (Though I may sneak my coupons along and see if I can find a Walgreens... we don't have one where I live!)

what is 'First Tuesday'?

I have no idea what First Tuesday is.... some items on my receipt had line items under them showing "First Tuesday -$2.50" or similar. I couldn't figure out how it was determined.

Does anyone know?

The only thing I know about first Tuesday's is that people 55 and older can get a card for 20% off. They gave one to my mom today. Every other Tuesday they receive 10% off and they receive 10% off Rite Aid brand everyday.

I haven't put this together yet for this week, but perhaps you could work something on the Clean & Clear (which is a J&J product). They are 2-for-$9.00 in my ad this week. You should double-check that it is included for the SCR.

If they are, there are $3.00/1 Video Values coupons (RC) and $2.00/1 manufacturers printables (I found them on the product's website, but am not sure if they are still there).

Just a suggestion.

it was included in a free sample... not sure where it came from, but i'm guessing the manufacturer. you could try checking on always website and see if they have a sample offer going on.

For the J&J deal you could do the Reach toothbrushes $2.99 use $2/1 coupon and if you don't have enough of those you could do the J&J Band aid $2.00 each use $1/1 coupons.

To add more to your J&J total, you could do what I did. In today's trip, I was $6 short of $20 to use my save $5/$20, so I added 3 band-aid packs to my order. I didn't have any band-aid Qs, but with the $5 off, it gave me enough to use the $5 Q so it was sort of like getting $6 worht of band-aids for $1, which is a pretty good deal. But then it also qualified me for the $5 J&J rebate (I already had $9, so the extra $6 will make it qualify for the $5 rebate).

I'm pretty happy with this deal because I really needed the band-aids.
