Lately I have been single out for harrasment at Kroger. I know I use a lot of coupons. I know that I pay less than 25 percent for my groceries. I thought This is what you are suppose to do. Excell at something at least. Lately a few people at kroger seem to hate the idea of me using coupons, and athey have been trying to refuse the coupons that I bring in. I have to literally argue. The 75 off 2 Nabisco coupon, they tried to say it would not ring up on the register. I had to make them try it. It has been all month long and now they try to tell me that it would not work. Ha, it work anyway. |

Sorry you're having issues. Is there another Kroger that you can shop at? My Kroger's people are so nice. They never give me problems.

That is a shame....be persistent...when they see you are there to say...they might ease up.... They might even want to know how you save SO much money!!

Sorry they are doing this to you. The only thing you are guilty of is being a super-smart shopper! Don't let it bother you. Wondering if the manager is aware that you can influence all your coupon buddies to stop using their store!

Just smile and next time use TWICE as many q's!!!! Then make a big deal when your total goes down (really loud and obnoxiously!!!). I do this and they are so embarassed that they NEVER say anything the next time I go in!!!!

I had to call Kroger corporate in August to complain about bad treatment I received from a CSM at my store. The store manager called me to apologize.

At my Kroger at the U-Scan, you have to hand the q's to the store clerk at the end of the u scan, and they scan them for you. I haven't had any problems using it though.

My local Kroger ended up calling me after I complained on line about how the store didn't want to take my internet coupons. Telling me something about when they have the card deal that internet coupons were not acceptable with there pick 10 and they would not take multiple coupons or anything over $2.00. I take pride in saving at the grocery and feel like they can take it up with the manufactor if they are not honoring their product deals. There are so many people that pay full price so why should ones that clip coupons to feed our family be subjects of grocer drama at the checkout line.

Any place that gives me a hard time @ my Qs does NOT get return business from me! I vote with my wallet! I can work my Qs anywhere and if you try to give me grief I take my business to someone who will appreciate it!

I would definetly contact corp. You are doing nothing wrong - I love my Krogers - but at first a couple of cashiers had attitudes when I handed them my coupons - they tried a couple of times to refuse them but I always great them with a smile and kindly ask why? They come up with some lame excuse - if I loose the battle I tell them I don't want the item then - at this point they either decide to take the coupon or remove the item. I have even went as far as to tell them to cancel an entire order as it was a mega sale event and I had like 60 items. When she relized she had to cancel 60 items and restock it all she decided to take my coupon. I don't let it bother me and if they can't get under my skin they give up. I can still tell they get upset when they see me coming with my stack of coupons but they smile chat and do their jobs. I don't think it is unreasonable to get what you have coming to you, you clip, sort, and match the coupons with the sales - you deserve the savings.

I work next to Gerbes/Kroger so we go there all the time. Lately the self check clerks have been HORRIBLE to those of us using alot of coupons...why should then even care, it isn't like we are taking their paychecks with the coupons! We just ignore them and do what we want, just sucks that they treat you like you are doing something wrong and you aren't. I feel for you, and I would totally complain to corp AND mgmt at your store. I'd let them know that you can totally take your business else where AND tell every friend, relative and coworker how horrible the store is when you use coupons. They won't like that "free" publicity!!

I am sorry so many of you have had such trouble at your Kroger's store. So far (knock on wood) the Kroger's I usually go to has never given me problems. I shop every Sunday afternoon and the same cashiers/baggers are usually working. I have a certain cashier that I try to look for since she likes to see how much I can save that week. She has asked me all kinds of questions about where I find the q's and said she is trying to learn "the shopping game" herself. As she puts it - they don't put enough $ in her paycheck so she wants to learn how make those few $'s stretch at the store.
