Hello. Could someone help me please? Maybe it's just because I have a major headache today, but I am not understanding the Single Check Rebate. When they say they will send you a check, is a check you deposit into your bank or one that can only be used at Rite Aid? Thank you in advance for helping me understand this!

It's a check that can either be deposited in your bank account OR used to buy things at Rite-Aid. It states on the CHECK that it CAN be used in the store (but doesn't have to be). I usually use mine in the store - however, the last one I got was larger than what I was purchasing and they wouldn't give me cash back. No one seemed to know how to handle it - finally one of the managers came over and said I can just cash it at the next register. So to answer your question, you can EITHER deposit it at your bank OR take it to RA and use it toward your next purchases.

You can do either with the check. Some banks will look at it for a while to figure it out, but it is a legitimate check, and they will cash it.

My store always seems to mess up when i try to use it there but my bank deposits it with no problem. I had it questioned once but the teller took a second look and let it go(i figured i would have to walk through all the points of a check since i use to be a teller myself)

I took my first RA rebate check to my bank today and they absolutely refused to take it because it said "Use your check toward any purchase at a Rite Aid location". The girl even went to ask one of the managers, who assured her they could not accept my check. Needless to say, I was not happy at all since I know it is a good legitimate check. Then I called my mom who works at a totally different bank and she told me they wouldn't be able to take it either. I guess, what I'm trying to say is that it is not guaranteed that your financial institution will take your rebate check, even though it is a good check. Wow, I've never had any trouble at my bank. I'm in a small town, and they know me there. I guess they figure they can find me if they need me.

When I first got one I took it to the store (RA) found out that you had to spend it all in one transaction. With the next one I took it to the bank and they called to verify that I could cash or deposit the check in my account. My bank suggested with the first one to just deposit it and after 5 days the money would be available. Now I have no problem with cashing or depositing them. |
