I think the sales ads really started coming out the first week in November. Although, I'm hoping a few leak before then!

I love Black Friday, not only for the great deals, but for the thrill of the hunt! There is just something about being able to get "one of the advertised" items! We aren't traditional hunters in our household, but on Black Friday we are ready to get out there and compete with the crowds! :-) I can't wait!!!!

I can't wait! I have allready started to google black friday 2009 once a week to see if anything has started yet. My most fav time of the year.... time to start stashing extra chash in my make-up drawer and collecting any toy Q's I can find.

I remember last year, I was on a schedule to where I didn't go to sleep until 3 am, so when Black Friday came, DH and I just stayed up the whole night and shopped until 10am...we were so exhausted, but it was fun! (well for me, I think I might have tortured DH )

When my 3 kids were younger my husband always knew that on Black Friday that he would care fo the kids the entire day (that was asking a lot around here). I'd shop until around 2 and then come home for a nice nap. It was my day to be free and have fun!

Now that my kids are older they usually join in Black Friday shopping with me. My 17 yr old even waited outside of Best Buy overnight last year to buy himself a laptop (with his own money!)

I love BF. Unfortunately this year I don't think I'll be able to take off work I had off last year and we don't go by the first come first serve rule around here when it comes to holiday time off. But I'll probably get up and be at Walmart or Target or Best Buy at 3 a.m. and then go to work at 8:30 we get off at 3 that day. But I love the crowds, music and just browsing.

How can I politely tell people I don't want them to go with me? I know that sounds a little mean, but some of my family just wants to browse, and I mean business when I shop! I get so much more done when just my husband and I go, and this year we have a long list of things to find. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but I don't think they realize that Black Friday is just about my favorite day of the year, aside from my wedding anniversary!

Ha! BF is def my favorite day of the year! I love it! I have been checking at least once a week for them to start posting some ads - but nothing yet! Last year there had already been a couple ads posted by now. I want to try some online deals - but worried about the traffic jams online, but have heard some good experiences!

Saw on another web site that the tentative release date for the Walmart BF ad is 11/23, but I am hoping that there are leaks long before then!

I have no problem getting my DH to stay home, he hates shopping! I think he already knows this day will be kid-free shopping for mom, but I think his mom may want to tag along. NOOOOO! I am a solo shopper. I don't know how I would do with another power shopper like me, but I can tell ya now, his mom is not in that category! Any advice since we will probably be staying at their house after thanksgiving? She can spend 3 hrs in one store and on BF I ain't got that kinda time!

Hmm, can you tell your MIL that you were hoping to find some things for her Christmas gift and that she probably shouldn't come with you so she can be surprised? It's all I can think of!

I have actually never done the Black Friday thing b/c I hate crowds and crowded parking lots. Now that I have gotten so into finding deals I think I might try and conquer it this year!!
