 First coupon trip EVER and there was FREE stuff!  I went to Kroger today with my 7 year old daughter in tow...left the 2 babies at home. First of all, we were given the coupon booklet for Hispanic Heritage month - wait a minute - we were given 5!! They handed them to me in handfuls. THEN I walk all of 10 steps another direction and am handed a little sample bottle of Head and Shoulders along with 5 sample packs of Huggies Wipes - along with a different coupon booklet written in Spanish and a recipe book... all the while we are being fed samples of Toaster Strdls, Oreos, Coke Zero, Black Bn & Rice Tortillas...YUMMY! Ashton was stuffed when we left! (side bar savings = free lunch)  I had my poorly organized binder ready and started shopping - need a better system for speed's sake...our trip took 1.5 hrs b/c I didn't know what the heck I was doing. We also were slowed down by the little Blinkie machines - they take awhile to spit out coupons  Total Value of Purchases = $124.73 MFG coupons = $23.80 Bonus Savings = $6.39 Kroger Plus Savings = $17.33 TOTAL SAVINGS ON MY FIRST EVER COUPON TRIP TO KROGER= $47.52 (38%)  :bigg rin: |

My daughter is hooked too now. She's 7 and she was getting excited about helping me organize all the new coupons we picked up today. It helped that she now has tons of yogurt and granola bars for after school snacks to motivate her ;o) not to mention all the mac and chz!

Great way to start your "new career".  9 yr old DD went with me to Wags this Sunday to do the Sally Hansen deal - how much fun we had making trips up to the register and back to the display to pick out more polish. I think she'll come with me again.

my daughter is only 6 but she loves to carry my expired Q's in her purse while we go shopping, oh, and I love having her because as coupon crazy as I am, I always miss the blinkies, and she finds ALL OF THEM. I always tell her if it wasn't for her i'd spend more money!

Cute story. I remember my first time couponing. Took many hours... . Had no clue what I was doing. I remember checking practically everything on the shelfs to see if I had a q to go with it. Now I am a pro and love..love..love it! Congrats!
