...so said the cvs manager last night! She said beginning in october you will be able to buy a tag to put on your reuseable shopping bags and every time you shop they'll scan the tag (once a day). After 4 scans you get $1 ECB. I'm not sure on the details but it sounds like this was ongoing! Motivate me to remember my reuseable bags!

i hope this is true! i alway use reusable bags for grocery shopping but when i run into cvs i usually forget!

1st you gotta BUY a tag, then its gotta be scanned FOUR times (but only ONCE DAILY) to get a mere $1 ECB?

Call me a cynic, but it sounds like more of an earning opportunity for CVS rather than for ME

How much are the bags though? If they are only a buck, then I don't see it as that big a deal.

So how much do the tags cost and how many times will you have to use them to recoop your original investment?

Can you buy the tags with your ECB? or is it OOP like gift cards?

I love using my reusable shopping bags! An incentive is great! I wonder if it will run thru Oct? Like, you get an ECB for every 4 times it's scanned? That would be awesome You could get 7ECBs just for being environmentally friendly - I'm just hoping it will be something like that!

I think the OP meant that you purchase a Tag not a Bag that you place on your own reueable bag that can be scanned 4 times to earn the $1 ECB.

Me too! I use them as trash bags and to clean out the litter box each day!
