The ad states covergirl makeup is B1B1Free with some exclusions of course. I have a stack of coupons from the P&G flyer for B1G1 CG products. Our RA is NOT coupon friendly. Can anyone think of ANY reason they would not let me do this transaction? I have had some serious issues with this store in the past and it is the only RA within 100 miles of us.

I want to prepare myself ahead of time just in case things go bad again.

I would make sure that the foundation and face products are exactly the same price. Also, make sure to hand the face product first , then the foundation. The foundation will register as 0.00, thus being the "free" product from the sale. If the face product is the first one scanned, it will show up at full price.

Then again, this whole scenario relys on the store being ok with using BOGO coupons with a BOGO sale. Even though corporate supports using coupons in this instance, you could have a manager who says no way. Good luck.

Why should the items be the same price? What about a $12.99 blush and a $9.99 (for example) foundation? Blush scanned first and foundation 2nd? Because the foundation is cheaper, it should ring up free, right? I am wary to even try this, honestly. Tried the week before last to get the $10 GC promotion, and it was such a hassle that I left the store without buying the make up, only got 2 papers. I really want to try this deal, though, because it is such a great deal. Can someone please clarify on whether the below scenario would work, please?

1 x CG Mineral Blush @ $12.99
1 x CG Foundation @ $9.99 (example)
- $9.99 foundation
- 1 x B1G1 ($12.99)
- 1 x $1 off CG
$1.00 filler item

Total: $0.00 + tax

Would this work?

I am going to attempt this today at our local non couponer friendly store and I will post my results. I have serious doubts about this working for me as our local store would rather drive customers out in a huff than make a sale.

At my stores they both ring up the normal price, and then at the bottom it takrs off the cheapest one. So it dont matter the order.

Didn't work at my store. The manager said that I CANNOT get 2 free items. Because the makeup was on sale as a buy 1 get 1 they would not allow me to use the coupons. Oh well.

This is very much a YMMV situation. Depends on the cashier. The coupon is buying the first item-the store is giving the free one. It does not matter how you buy it, whether you use cash, credit, or a coupon! Contact your store's District Manager, and explain the situation. That has always taken care of any wrong done in the store for me.

Your coupon pays for one the store gives you one free.

Ended up going to a Rite Aid with my mom and before i grabbed my loot i asked the cashier and she said yes, so grabbed what i wanted and paid 1.59 for 2 foundation,2 powders, and 2 blushes. I told the cashier, i will be back this afternoon!

This is so ridiculous because the store is losing money by NOT taking your Q. They would get reimbursed by the manufact. for the BOGO Q.

I have two of the BOGO q's left. I want to try this deal tomorrow. My plan is this: There is a new CVS opening across the street from my RA soon, so if they say no I'm going to say, "Oh, CVS let's me do this all the time!"

You need to send an email to corporate and then print out the reply and take it to the store. However, YMMV, some store managers think they have the right to refuse coupons.

There is a thread about this from the last time there was BOGO Kotex, but I have not been able to find it to post. Someone sent an email, then posted the reply in the thread from RA.

I know that RA will not take the BOGO q for me either on a BOG1 deal. A few weeks ago b/c the cashier said that I could not use both qs BOGO & $1.00 q off for the BO and 50%off 2nd the Mgr backed her up. So I could only use the BOGO q and she thought I was stupid enough to just use the one $1.00 q not happening for me.
