The casheir was nice enough to give me one of the actual coupons from the seventeen magaize to use so that was very thoughtful and nice of her so I cant complain too much. But did notice yesterday the coupon was back up on the website after it had been pulled.

The problem is SEARS has done it before and they will do it again because they get away with it!

store hourly employee gave you the reason of fraud. never take an hourly employees word as gold. they often get wrong or incomplete info therefore distribute wrong info. corporate gave you the real reason just as they did me - abuse.

when has sears done this before?????? why didnt you tell the reporter this?

i mean no offense, but sometimes things are taken too far over something so minor.

I'm NOT hear to argue ... everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

1. If you call CORPORATE they are STILL saying it is FRAUD! It is NOT the HOURLY EMLOYESS only saying this. Read the signs at the registers.

2. I DID tell the reporter that, but because there are still letigations going on with the lawsuits he could not mention it. But he knows of them!

It is NOT a "minor" thing in MY OPINION. It is a matter of what is right and wrong. just like the coupon problem with KFC and MARSH (our local grocery) it is NOT RIGHT!

I did call corporate yesterday afternoon and they never mentioned the word fraud at all. In fact, she had a script response she read off for me. The reason was because of abuse.

Freedom of speech gives the reporter the right to mention that there is an ongoing lawsuit regarding another coupon (if there was one as I have not seen proof of this). He, however, would not be able to give specific details under the order of a judge. Lawsuits are public record.

No, I never said it was right to pull the coupon, claim fraud and so forth. I am saying that they never told ME that it was fraud - not an hourly employee nor corporate. I simply don't see it as a huge deal. Like I said, this is just my opinion.

I just went to Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more and the clicked on clothing and then clicked on juniors and right on the cover page it had the pink circle with 10.oo off q double click it and wala! Just tried it again and it is not up anymore!

Which is why I never trust PDF coupons...as soon as I heard that this coupon was available in the Seventeen magazine October issue I went out to Walgreens and used my Register Rewards to buy 7 of the magazines...then I went to Sears and got over $300 retail worth of clothes for my girls for Christmas for less than $10 oop...even if I had had to pay oop for the magazines, at $2.99 each that would have still been a great deal for me as it would have been a grand total of less than $31 oop. The facebook Qs of a couple years ago, the snowblower deal of Sears a year ago and the recent Tide/Sharpie Qs on Cookie magazine have taught me not to trust PDF and not to trust something on a website if it seems to good to be true!!

I got a completely stupid answer at my Sears for why they weren't taking it... the store employee told me that the coupon was for online use only...THEN WHY was I allowed to print it off their own site AND why then does it have a BARCODE?! How stupid do people think we are?!

i was bummed tonight i printed a couple of these when they first came out and never used them...i went tonight and had one top and a jacket...there were signs everywhere stating they weren't accepting the q's...i hadn't seen this thread so i had no idea why (but i could sure guess)...i asked the cashiers and they all said they did not know why it wasn't being honored ...finally a clerk asked a supervisor and said the offer was retracted. I should've trusted my original instincts that the q was too good to be true.
