Same thing I was thinking -- I rarely walk out of there with paying more than $2 or $3 (Savings 95%+) before tax. I doubt I've spent that much at Kroger in 5 years.

I just had one of these recently, and it was the amount before coupons. It was during the Kraft Cheese deal. I hit the $250 having spent about $5.

I've noticed the points that accumulate on my card for gas are before coupons too. I've looked at receipts where it says I've earned 80 points and have wondered if it's an error cause I had spent less than $10. This deal is great. Wonder if the 10% off is before or after coupons...

Yep, my points always add up to the amount before my coupons...that's why I love Kroger. Plus, our Kroger here in N.C. gives you 1.00 for every 100 points you earn, I normally get about 25 bucks back (it runs for 3 months at a time).

I think the amounts are printing out differently for different people. Mine (printed yesterday) was Spend $200 from 9/1 to 9/30 and earn 10% off one order between 10/5 and 10/24.

This is also what my receipt from yesterday said... *fingers crossed* for it to be before coupons! (otherwise there is NO WAY I reach $200

I wonder if they will put something at the bottom of the receipt throughout the month telling how much you have spent towards the "goal." Like the fuel saver points. We'll be able to tell then. I spent $212 before coupons in the entire month of August and that included Super Doubles week. OOP was way, way less, so no I won't hit the $200 without coupons either. Now the week I use my 10%, I might.

I would think since the mfg pays them for coupons, Kroger doesn't care if you do it before or after coupons.

It does give you a summary of the promotion. I.e. You've earned $150 towards the promotion.

Actually, it is to a point. I went shopping Tuesday evening,

Paid OOP: $30.12
MQ: 48.86
Bonus Coupon: 3.90
Kroger Coupons: 61.04
Total coupons: 113.80

And for my receipt, it says You have $106 in qualifying purchases.

So I dunno how they figured *that* out, but it happens reasonably the same way with the Fuel Points, b/c that one says I earned 104 points.

Go figure.

Went to Kroger tonight. Had first ever run-in with cashier who didn't like that I was getting something for free. Usually, they don't notice! I prefer to stay under the radar.

My OOP was 5.24
MQ 6.85
Bonus 2.00
Kroger Plus Savings 13.32
Total Coupons 22.17

I have $14 in qualifying purchases, so it looks like my OOP plus my MQ plus my bonus coupons = 14.09

So I'd say its before coupons.

At my Kroger (which I hardly shop at anymore since the coupon changes *sigh*) you had to spend $500!!! Yeah right!! I try not to spend that much period! Give me a break!

Some purchases don't qualify for points. I also shop at Martin's, and it says NP beside purchases that don't qualify. I think milk is one of them, but never paid enough attention to know what else. So that's my guess as to how the points are counted.

OK, this is WEIRD!!! Up to my last trip last week, my receipt had all the info about Fall Into Savings and I had something like 24 points in it... I went last night, spent around 40 before coupons (around 20 after... lots of chicken and produce with NO Q)... and my receipt said NOTHING!!! It only had the Fuel points but nothing at all about FIS... and this is the same store I always go to...
