Gee darn, oh well ~ have to agree w/ bear, don't do Croc's ~ maybe it is a FL thing (we stay away from gators too).

As a girl with a shoe thing....I agree that they are fugly.

However...as a girl that works long hours in a hospital....they are heaven.
I have two pairs and they are great....they feel like you are standing on a rubber mat bare-footed rather than pounding your feet on a hard floor for 12 or more hours straight.

Southerngirls rules for wearing crocs...

1. Should be worn with socks.
2. Wear them to work (if appropriate)...not to the grocery store or church etc...
3. Kids crocs are cute with school uniforms only if wearing shorts.

It is kind of like the rules for wearing sandals. This is non-negotiable. LOL

Get a pedicure before sandal season...or at least have clean feet and trimmed toenails.
Penalty should be death for making other people look at your scanky feet. imho

oh my! I love my crocs! Love love love love them! And, my feet only love the true brand-name crocs. Not the cheap knock offs at Target or Payless. I actually tried on a pair at Target and at Payless, my feet said, "TAKE THESE THINGS OFF!!! UGH!" The moment I tried on Crocs, my feet said, "Oh.... this is like Calgon... take me away.... hey, don't take those off.... wear them straight to the cashier."

May not be pretty -- but for a girl who easily suffers from planter fascitis (sp?) and was dropping $60-$70 per pair of shoes ($100 for sandals) in order to NOT go to the podiatrist.... finding $30 shoes that my feet love and do not make my planter fascitis flare.... oh! I am in love.

Oh... as for SG's rules for crocs... I must amend... .if your feet hurt, you should wear them everywhere! Including the grocery store -- how else would I get through 8 transactions in one evening??

Dang... the only thing collegiate about those Crocs are the colors....ok... I do see the college names, but the colors stand out more.

You could easily buy a white pair and an orange pair and then when it was time to go cheer for Univ of TN (it's great to be a volunteer! I said, it's great to be a volunteer...), you could just wear one of each OR pop the straps off each and make a matching white/orange pair.
